Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First Problem - it is an equilateral triangle as three sides are of same length

The interior angles of an equilateral triangle is 60 deg.

So 7x - 3 = 60

7x = 63

x = 9 deg.

Second Problem - again it is an equilateral triangle as three interior angles are equal.

So the three sides are of same length -

6x - 3 = 5x

x = 3

Third Problem - it is an isosceles triangle as the base angles are equal.

So the two sides are of same length -

x + 4 = 3x - 8

2x = 12

x = 6

Fourth Problem - it is an isosceles triangle as the base angles are equal.

So the two sides are of same length -

2x + 7 = 4x - 7

2x = 14

x = 7

BC = 4x = 28

Fourth Problem - it is an isosceles triangle as the two sides are of same length.

The base angles are equal at 73 deg.

Sum of interior angles for a triangle = 180 deg.

So 73 + 73 + 6x + 4 = 180

150 + 6x = 180

6x = 30

x = 5

Write an exponential function in the form y=ab^xy=ab^x that goes through points (0, 20) and (3, 1280).
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

y = 20 4^{x}

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the points to find the values of a and b

Using (0, 20 ) , then

20 = ab^{0} [ b^{0} = 1 ] , then

20 = a

y = 20b^{x}

Using (3, 1280 ) , then

1280 = 20 b³ ( divide both sides by 20 )

64 = b³ ( take the cube root of both sides )

\sqrt[3]{64} = b , that is

4 = b

Then exponential function is

y = 20. 4^{x}

Catherine paid $185.30 for an MP3 player. If the price paid includes a 9% sales tax, which of the following equations can be use
Wittaler [7]

y = $185.30

x = the orignal cost minus 9% or .09. To increase an objects value by 9% you need to multiply by 1 + .09 or 1.09. So, x being increases by 9% would equal y or $185.30

1.09x = y

1.09x = $185.30

Divide both sides by 1.09

x = $170
