How many grams od Mg(OH)2 will be needed to neutralize 25 mlod
irina [24]

Answer:

0.0073 g

Explanation:

Considering:

Molarity=\frac{Moles\ of\ solute}{Volume\ of\ the\ solution}

Or,

Moles =Molarity \times {Volume\ of\ the\ solution}

Given :

For HCl :

Molarity = 0.010 M

Volume = 25 mL

The conversion of mL to L is shown below:

1 mL = 10⁻³ L

Thus, volume = 25×10⁻³ L

Thus, moles of HCl :

Moles=0.010 \times {25\times 10^{-3}}\ moles

Moles of HCl  = 0.00025 moles

Considering the reaction shown below as:-

2HCl+Mg(OH)_2\rightarrow MgCl_2+2H_2O

2 moles of HCl reacts with 1 mole of Mg(OH)_2

So,

1 moles of HCl reacts with 1/2 mole of Mg(OH)_2

Also,

0.00025 moles of HCl reacts with \frac{1}{2}\times 0.00025 mole of Mg(OH)_2

Mole of Mg(OH)_2 = 0.000125 moles

Molar mass of Mg(OH)_2 = 58.3197 g/mol

Mass = Moles*Molar mass = 0.000125\times 58.3197\ g = 0.0073 g

The periodic table is an arrangment of the chemical elements, ordered by atomic number, into families, and by doing so illustrat
Vlada [557]

Answer:

Cesium and Neon

Explanation:

Remember, Neon is a noble gas, also called an inert gas. It does not react really to form compounds. Although chlorine is only one column to the left of neon, it is very reactive and ready forms a salt when combine with sodium. The other elements have similar reactivities to each other. Only Neon is a non-reactive choice.

Write the ions present in a solution of na3po4.
Doss [256]
The ions present in the solution of Na₃PO₄ are:
3Na⁺¹ and 1PO₄⁻³
 there are 3 sodium ions (Na⁺¹) are present, these are cations (+).
And 1 phosphate ion (PO₄⁻³) is present, this is anion (-),
When these cations and ions meet together a compound is formed, in this case 3 sodium ions make a bond with 3 oxygens of phosphate and makes a compound of sodium phosphate.

If 2.76 g of CuNO3 is dissolved in water to make a 0.350 M solution, what is the volume of the solution?
Licemer1 [7]
I can't remember any of the weights of the individual elements but here is how you solve it:
Molecular weight of copper + nitrogen + 3 oxygens = molecular weight of the compound.
M = moles / liter
.350 moles / 1 liter
Do .350 moles / liter x the molecular weight (g / mole) of the compound = the answer in g / L
