It is y = 12x + 20.
You start with 20 as the y-intercept because that is the starting amount that you paid. The constant rate of change is 12 dollars per book. So, 12 time however many books written as 12x. Hope that helps! :)

Answer:

For part one 30000 and the slope for part two is -2000 and for part three it is y=30000=2000x.

Step-by-step explanation:

If it starts at 30,000 then that is on the 0 on the x-axis.

While the plane is descending by 2000 so that is the slope but because it is descending and not rising it is -2000. If it was rising it would be 2000.

And for part three because it starts and 30000 and it goes down 2000 by the x-axis.

Hope this helps.

A store has clearance items that have been marked down by 60%. They are having a sale, advertising an additional 15% off clearan
astra-53 [7]

Answer: 34%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Price is marked down by 60% with an additional discount of 15% on the marked down price

Suppose x is the original price of the item

After marking down, it is

\Rightarrow x-x\times 0.6=0.4x

after additional discount it is

\Rightarrow 0.4x(1-0.15)=0.4x\times 0.85=0.34x

Effective discount on the item is

\Rightarrow \dfrac{x-0.34x}{x}\times 100=66\%

Thus, a person is paying 100-66=34\% of the original price
