Answer:

49.30 L

Explanation:

1. Write the chemical equation.

You don’t give the reaction. However, if all the H₂O comes from O₂, we can write a partial equation. The important point is that we must balance the O atoms.

       O₂ + … ⟶ 2H₂O + …

V/L: 1 L 2 L

2. Calculate the volume of N₂.

We can use Gay-Lussac's Law of Combining Volumes to solve this problem.

According to the law, 1 L of O₂ produces 2 L of H₂O.

Then, the conversion factor is (2L H₂O/1 L O₂).

Volume of H₂O = 24.65 × 2/1

Volume of H₂O = 49.30 L

Answer : The volume of water vapor produced will be, 49.3 L

Solution : Given,

Volume of oxygen = 24.65 L

As we know that,

At STP, 1 mole of gas occupies 22.4 liter of volume

The balanced chemical reaction will be,

2H_2(g)+O_2(g)\rightarrow 2H_2O(g)

From the balanced reaction, we conclude that

2 moles of hydrogen react with the 1 mole of oxygen to give 2 moles of water vapor.

1 mole of oxygen contains 22.4 L of volume and 2 moles of water vapor contains 2\times 22.4L of volume

As, 22.4 L of oxygen produces volume of water vapor = 2\times 22.4L

So, 24.65 L of oxygen produces volume of water vapor = \frac{2\times 22.4L}{22.4L}\times 24.65L=49.3L

Therefore, the volume of water vapor produced will be, 49.3 L

consider a 1000-ml graduated cylinder with marks every 100 ml. a student records the volume of liquid in the cylinder as 750 ml.
Ludmilka [50]

Answer:

Explanation:

The 1000-ml graduated cylinder with marks every 100 ml has least count of 100 ml . It means it can not measure a volume less than 100 ml . It can also measure volume in the integral multiple of 100 ml like 200 ml , 300 ml , 400 ml etc perfectly . All these have significant figure of one .

It can not measure volume like 150 , 250 , 255 , 760 etc because these measurements are not the integral multiple of 100 . 750 is not a integral multiple of 100 so it can not measure volume of 750 ml.

Which of the following is true about subatomic particles?
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

I think the answer is C. protons are positively charged are one of the heaviest subatomic particles.

Explanation:

Electrons are negatively charged which is the basic unit of an electric charge

mass of the electron is 9.10938356 × 10−31 kg, which is only 1/1,836the mass of a proton.
