Answer:

The correct answer is:

False

Explanation:

Nuclear fission is the splitting of nucleus of an atom which results in the emission of high amount of energy.

<u>Example:</u>

Heavy atom (i.e. uranium) when bombarded with neutrons, its nucleus split into smaller lighter weight nuclei and release a huge amount of energy. (Nuclear fission also takes place without neutrons i.e. in the form of radioactive decay (the process in which an unstable nucleus of an atom releases energy in the form of radiation)).

c. They hit at the same time

b. BGS

Explanation:

A marble dropped (initial vertical velocity is 0) will land at the same time as a marble launched horizontally (initial vertical velocity is 0) from the same height.

Boat S has a net speed of 5 m/s (10 − 5).

Boat B has a net speed of 15 m/s (10 + 5).

Boat G has a net speed of ≈11.2 m/s (√(10² + 5²)).

A small 20-kg canoe is floating downriver at a speed of 2 m/s. What is the canoe’s kinetic energy? A. 40 J B. 80 J C. 18 J
rusak2 [61]

A small 20-kg canoe is floating downriver at a speed of 2 m/s. 40 J is the canoe’s kinetic energy.

Answer: Option A

<u>Explanation:</u>

The given canoe has the mass and is being given to move at a speed. Therefore the kinetic energy of the canoe can be calculated using the following method,

Given that mass of the canoe = 20 kg and its speed =1 m/s

As we know that the Kinetic energy has the formula,

\text {Kinetic energy}=\frac{1}{2} \boldsymbol{m} \boldsymbol{v}^{2}

Therefore, substituting the value into the equation, we get,

K . E .=\frac{1}{2} \times 20 \times 2^{2} = 40 J

Answer:

The other angle is 120°.

Explanation:

Given that,

Angle = 60

Speed = 5.0

We need to calculate the  range

Using formula of range

R=\dfrac{v^2\sin(2\theta)}{g}...(I)

The range for the other angle is

R=\dfrac{v^2\sin(2(\alpha-\theta))}{g}....(II)

Here, distance and speed are same

On comparing both range

\dfrac{v^2\sin(2\theta)}{g}=\dfrac{v^2\sin(2(\alpha-\theta))}{g}

\sin(2\theta)=\sin(2\times(\alpha-\theta))

\sin120=\sin2(\alpha-60)

120=2\alpha-120

\alpha=\dfrac{120+120}{2}

\alpha=120^{\circ}

Hence, The other angle is 120°

What does the electric field strength tell about the electric firld?
Solnce55 [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

The region around a charged particle where another charged particle experiences a force of attraction or repulsion is called electric field.

The strength of electric field is defined as the force experienced by the unit positive test charge.

E = F / q

Electric field strength is a vector quantity and it is measured in newton per coulomb.

Where, F is the force of attraction or repulsion between the two charges and q is the test charge on which the electric field strength is to be calculated.

The strength of electric field is more if the field is strong. It means more be the electric field strength at a point more be the electric field.
