Answer:

Explanation:

For calculating resistance of a conductor , the formula is

R = ρ l / A , ρ is specific resistance , l is length and A is cross sectional area of wire.

For first wire length is l₁ , area is A₁ resistance is R₁, for second resistance is R₂ , length is l₂ and area is A₂

Given , l₁ = 2l₂ , A₁ = 4A₂ , area is proportional to square of thickness.

R₁ / R₂ = I₁A₂ / I₂A₁

= 2l₂ x A₁ / 4 I₂A₁

= 1 / 2

2R₁ = R₂

Power = V² / R

Ratio of power = (V² / R₁) x (R₂ / V²)

= R₂ / R₁

= 2 .

A piece of copper wire is formed into a single circular loop of radius 9.1 cm. A magnetic field is oriented parallel to the norm
bazaltina [42]

Given Information:

Radius of circular loop = r = 9.1 cm = 0.091 m

Change in time = Δt = 0.66 seconds

Change in magnetic field = ΔB = 0.90 T

Resistance of wire per unit length = R = 2.9x10⁻²  Ω/m

Number of turns = N = 1

Required Information:

Electrical energy dissipated = E = ?

Answer:

Electrical energy dissipated = 50.09x10⁻³ Joules

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that energy is given by

E = Pt

Where power is given by

P = ξ²/R

Where ξ is the induced EMF in the wire and is given by

ξ = -NΔΦ/Δt

Where ΔΦ is the change in flux and is given by

ΔΦ = ΔBAcosφ

Where φ is the angle between magnetic field and circular loop

A = πr² and R = 2.9x10⁻²*2πr

Substituting the above relations into the energy equation and simplifying yields,

E = [-Nπr²cosφ(ΔB/Δt)²]*t/R

E = [-1*π(0.091)²*cos(0)(0.90/0.66)²*0.66]/2.9x10⁻²*2π*(0.091)

E = 0.050094 Joules

E = 50.09x10⁻³ Joules

Therefore, the average electrical energy dissipated in the circular loop of the wire is 50.09x10⁻³ Joules.

If electrical current is moving through a horizontal wire toward your face, what direction is the induced magnetic field?
adoni [48]

Answer:(b)

Explanation:

Given

Electric current flowing through the horizontal wire towards the observer's face.

The direction of the magnetic field is given by the right-hand thumb rule, i.e. place the thumb in the direction of current and the wrapping of fingers will give the direction of the magnetic field

the direction of the magnetic field will be counterclockwise as observed by an observer.

How does inertia explain why it is difficult to stop a moving<br> skateboard?
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

(Example Person) has to push hard to get the skateboard started, but once it begins moving, it takes much less effort to keep it rolling over the smooth, flat pavement. In fact, if (Example Person) tries to stop the rolling skateboard, it may take as much effort to stop it as it did to start it rolling in the first place.

Explanation:

Hope this helps :)

Which car is accelerating?
Oliga [24]

Answer:

The car that is accelerating is B a car that rounds a curve at a constant speed

Explanation:

Although all of the cars are at a constant speed or not moving acceleration is the change in speed or the change of directions therefore making the only car changing directions your answer.
