The hematologist performs a bone marrow biopsy by inserting a large bore needle into the red bone marrow of Jasmine's posterior

Answer: If Jasmine received a shot of 'Erythropoietin', it would stimulate the growth the of hemocytoblasts and myeloid stem cells which in turn will also stimulate the growth of lymphoid stem cells.

Explanation: Let me explain some of the terms you used.

'Haematopoiesis' is the formulation of blood cell components.

'Hemocytoblasts' is one of the major components used in the formulation of different types of blood cells.

'Myeloid Stem Cells' is a type of blood cell while 'Lymphoid' stem cells are responsible for the production of immunity against infections and diseases.

Naturally, Erythropoietin is a hormone produced by the kidney. Chemically, it is a protein with an attached sugar (glycoprotein). The main function of the Erythropoietin is that it promotes the formation of the red blood cells by the bone marrow. When injected, it serves as a stimulant for the growth of specific types of blood cells in the bone marrow. In turn, the rise in red blood cells increases the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood.
