Answer:

51.7 mL

Explanation:

Data Given

initial volume V1 = 50 mL

final Volume V2 = ?

initial Temperature T1 = 25° C

convert Temperature to Kelvin

                 T1 = 25° C + 273 = 298K

final Temperature T2 = 35° C

convert Temperature to Kelvin

                 T2 = 35° C + 273 = 298K

Solution:

The formula used

                   V1 / T1 = V2 / T2

As we have to find out volume, so rearrange the above equation

                    V2 = V1 x  T2 / T1

Put value in above equation

                    V2 = 50 mL x  308K / 298K

                     V2 = 51.7 mL

So the final volume of Nitrogen = 51.7 mL

What would happen to the water’s boiling point if MgSO4 is added to it?
kirill [66]

Answer:

When Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) dissolves, it separates into its ions: a magnesium ion (Mg2+) and a sulfate ion (SO4 2-), which results in hard water. When hard water and soap are mixed, the magnesium ion reacts with soap molecules and forms a solid material called a precipitate, which does not dissolve.

Assume that 12.0 g of oxygen are reacted with 20.0 g of magnesium to produce magnesium oxide.
FinnZ [79.3K]
Write out the eqn of magnesium and oxygen. this should be under “metals” chapter. do revise.

next, find the mols of both oxygen and magnesium. compare the ratios and find the LIMITING REAGENT.

use the mols of the limiting reagent to compare with the mols of the product.

take the mols of the product/mr of the product.

this will give u the mass.
