Option B, C and D are correct.

Explanation:

Carbon is a non metallic element with the atomic number 6 and mass number 12. Whereas oxygen is also a non metallic element with the atomic number 8 and mass number of 16.

In carbon monoxide, the mass ratio of oxygen to carbon is 16:12 =1.33. This ratio is same for every sample of carbon monoxide, because carbon monoxide has the universal formula of CO.

Similarly In carbon dioxide , the mass ratio of oxygen to carbon is 32:12 =2.667. This ratio is same for every sample of carbon dioxide, because carbon dioxide has the universal formula of CO_2.

Even we can see that the mass ratio of oxygen to carbon in carbon dioxide is just twice the mass ratio of oxygen to carbon in carbon monoxide, because of presence of twice as much as oxygen per molecule of carbon dioxide than carbon monoxide.

The following redox reaction is conducted with [Al3+] = 0.12 M and [Mn2+] = 1.5 M.
Ronch [10]

Answer:

0.47V

Explanation:

2 Al(s) + 3 Mn2+(aq) → 2 Al3+(aq) + 3 Mn(s)

n= 6 ( six moles of electrons were transferred)

Q= [Red]/[Ox] but [Red]= 1.5M, [Ox] = 0.12 M

Q= 1.5/0.12= 12.5

From Nernst equation:

E= E°cell- 0.0592/n log Q

E°cell= 0.48 V

E= 0.48 - 0.0592/6 log (12.5)

E= 0.47V

How many liters of 0.1107 M KCI contains 15.00 g of KCI (FW= 74.6 g/mol)
Mashcka [7]
Number of moles:

n = sample mass / molar mass

n = 15.00 / 74.6

n = 0.2010 moles of KCl

Therefore:

Molarity = moles / Volume

0.1107 = 0.2010 / V

V = 0.2010 / 0.1107

V = 1.815 L

A 5.0 g sample of aluminum with a specific heat of 0.90 J/(g °C) was heated from 22.1°C to 32.1°C. How much heat, to the nearest
mina [271]
Heat gained in a system can be calculated by multiplying the given mass to the specific heat capacity of the substance and the temperature difference. It is expressed as follows:

Heat = mC(T2-T1)
Heat = 5(0.90)(32.1 - 22.1)
Heat = 45 J energy gained
