Answer:

The total cost is \$168

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x-----> the number of tulips

y-----> the number of daffodils

C-----> the total cost

we know that

x=24\ tulips

y=2x

substitute the value of x

y=2(24)=48\ daffodils

Find the total cost

C=3x+2y

substitute

C=3(24)+2(48)=\$168

What is the approximate area of a circle enclosed by a piece of rope 50.24 inches long? (Use the fact that π ≈ 3.14 to make your
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

the approximate area of this circle is 200.96 inches long.

Step-by-step explanation:

To answer this problem we need to remember that the area of a circle is given by the formula:

Area = πr^2 where r is the radius.

and the perimeter is:

Perimeter = 2πr

Now, the problem tells us that the circle is enclosed by a piece of rope that's 50.24 inches long. So the perimeter of the circle is 50.24 inches.

Since we have the value of the perimeter and the value of pi, we are going to substitute these values in the perimeter formula to find r.

Perimeter = 2πr

50.24=2(3.14)r

50.24= 6.28r

50.24/6.28= r

8= r

Thus, the radius of the circle is 8 inches long.

Now, we can use this value to find the area of the circle:

Area = πr^2

Area = π8^2

Area = 3.14 (64)

Area = 200.96

Therefore, the approximate area of this circle is 200.96 inches long.

How could you change the equation from 5x+2=5x+5 so it has infinitely many solutions?
Ganezh [65]

I'm working on the same thing right now and I'm using every resource in my hands right now to find a solution. I will edit this post when I have more. If you need any more help I have completed the previous activity and most of this one.

EDIT:

Ok so I checked with somebody who is pretty good with math and they said that 5x=5x would be right. Not too sure but that's what I'm putting.

I put EVERYTHING for this assignment in comments down below. Geez all of this for 5 freakin points.

Jeremy raised $250 for charity last year. This year he raised 20% more than he raised last year. How much money did Jeremy raise
Lesechka [4]
You would find this by doing 250 times 20% which is .2 and you would get 50 so you would add 250 plus 50 and get 300.
The answer is $300
