Answer:

= 7.88 × 10^-12 T

Explanation:

From the above question, we are told that:

Kinetic Energy of the proton is K. E = 10.0 MeV

Step 1

We convert 10.0 MeV to Joules

1 Mev = 1.602 × 10-13 Joules

10.0 MeV = 10.0 × 1.602 × 10^-13 Joules = 1.602 × 10^-12 J

Hence, the Kinectic energy of a proton = 1.602 × 10^-12 J

Step 2

Find the Speed of the Proton

The formula for Kinectic Energy =

K.E = 1/ 2 mv²

Where

m = mass of the proton

v = speed of the proton

K.E of the proton = 1.602 × 10^-12 J

Mass of the proton = 1.6726219 × 10^-27 kilograms

Speed of the proton = ?

1.602 × 10^-12J = 1/2 × 1.6726219 × 10^-27 × v²

1.602 × 10^-12J = 8.3631095 ×10^-28 × v²

v² = 1.602 × 10^-12/8.3631095 ×10^-28

v = √(1.602 × 10^-12/8.3631095 ×10^-28)

v = 43772331.227m/s

v = 4.3772331227 × 10^7m/s

Approximately = 4.4 × 10^7 m/s

Step 3

Find the Magnetic Field of that region of space

The formula for Magnetic Field =

B = m v / q r

We are told that the proton executes a circular orbit, hence,

mv = √2m(KE)

m = Mass of the proton = 1.6726219 × 10^-27 kg

K.E of the proton = 1.602 × 10^-12 J

v = speed of the proton = 4.4 × 10^7 m/s

q = Electric charge = 1.6 × 10^-19 C

r = radius of the orbit = 5.80Ã10^10 m

= 5.8 × 10^10m

Magnetic Field =

=√ (2 × 1.6726219 × 10^-27 kg × 1.602 × 10^-12 J) /( 1.6 × 10^-19 C × 5.80 × 10^10 m)

= 7.88 × 10^-12 T

The magnetic field in that region of space is approximately 7.88 × 10^-12 T

Sally and Sam are in a spaceship that comes to within 17,000 km of the asteroid Ceres. Determine the force Sally experiences, in
MAXImum [283]

Answer:

0.01606 Newtons

Explanation:

r = Distance between the asteroid and Sally = 17000000 m

m₁ = Mass of the asteroid = 8.7× 10²⁰ kg

m₂ = Mass of Sally = 80 kg

G = Gravitational constant = 6.67 × 10⁻¹¹ m³/kgs²

From Newton's Universal law of gravity

F=G\frac{m_1m_2}{r^2}\\\Rightarrow F=6.67\times 10^{-11}\times \frac{8.7\times 10^{20}\times 80}{17000000^2}\\\Rightarrow F=0.01606\ N

The force Sally experiences is 0.01606 Newtons

Two fire trucks have sirens that emit waves of the same frequency. As the fire trucks approach a person, the person hears a high
Mumz [18]

Answer:

Only option A is correct

Explanation:

From the concept of Doppler effect, only speed matters. Thus, the faster a vehicle is moving, the closer together the sound waves get compressed and the higher the frequency. For example, for a very fast vehicle traveling at the speed of sound; the compressions are all right on top of each other. Thus, faster speed means closer compressions and higher frequencies. Hence, option only option A must be true because X is a higher frequency and so it must be going faster. The distance to the person will affect the volume but will not the pitch so Option B is not correct. Option C too is not correct because It doesn’t matter whether you are speeding up or slowing down, it only matters who is going faster. For example, from option c concept, if truck X was going 10 m/h and speeding up while truck Y was going 50 mph and slowing down, it would not meet the requirement that X has a higher frequency because only actual speed matters, not what is happening to that speed. Thus only option A is the correct answer

Martino travels from her house to her moms office building from there she walks to school after school she walks to the library
Jlenok [28]

Answer:

A) 0 miles

Explanation:

The displacement is the distance between the starting point and the end point of the route.

In this case, even if Matino takes a whole tour around the city, since it ends in the same place where it started, the difference between the starting and finishing point is zero, so its total displacement is zero.

Care must be taken to distinguish the terms of displacement and distance traveled, beacause they are not the same, since in this case the distance traveled would be 3.15miles, but the displacement is zero, because it ends at the point where it started.
