Aluminum is group 13 or IIIA since the group number 12 has the number 3 is the 1st place, we would predict the change to be 3+ to give Al3+

Answer:

The most stable ion is Al^{3+}

Explanation:

The aluminium belongs to Group 13 of the periodic table. The elements of this group have 3 electrons of valence and due to the metalic characterictics the aluminuim has, it trends to lose those electrons to achieve stability.

Electrons are negatively charged (-1 each one), so when the neutral atom loses 3 of them it remains positively charged by +3

Fuel-cell cars use hydrogen gas and release ______ into the atmosphere.
iogann1982 [59]
Hi!

Fuel-cell cars only release water and heat in the atmosphere.

Since they are only run by oxygen and hydrogen to produce electricity in the motor, they don't emit carbon dioxide or greenhouse gas as what other people think.

Basically, automotive engineers and scientist classified them as zero-emission.

The crystal structure of an ionic compound depends on the
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

The ion's sizes and their radius ratio.

Explanation:

Ionic compounds take the form of three dimentional arrays by alternating anions and cations in order to minimize the potential energy of the system by maximizing the attractive force between opposite charges.

The resultant geometric structures are known as crystal lattices and their arrangements depend on the ion's sizes and, since they are bound though electrostatic attraction, their radius ratio.

I hope you find this information useful and interesting! Good luck!

Calculate the mass percent composition of nitrogen in co(nh2)2.
Mashcka [7]
The mass percentage composition of nitrogen in CO(NH2)2 is 46 .7%

    calculation

% mass = molar mass of nitrogen/ molar mass of Co(NH2)2

molar mass of nitrogen = 14 x2 = 28g/mol since there is two nitrogen atom in Co(NH2)2\

molar mass of CO(NH2)2 = 12 + 16 + (14 x2) +( 2 x2)= 60 g/mol

the % mass is therefore =28 / 60 x100 =46.7%
