Suppose a soccer player kicks the ball from a distance 29 m toward the goal. find the initial speed of the ball if it just passe
Rudik [331]

The ball's vertical velocity at the time it just passes over the goal is 0 m/s. Its initial vertical velocity is unknown and we denote it by v\sin39^\circ, where v here is the ball's initial speed. Vertically, the only force acting on the ball is gravity, which attributes a downward acceleration of 9.8 m/s^2. We expect the maximum height achieved by the ball to be 2.4 m, so we can find the initial speed by solving

\left(0\,\dfrac{\mathrm m}{\mathrm s}\right)^2-\left(v\sin39^\circ\right)^2=2\left(-9.8\,\dfrac{\mathrm m}{\mathrm s^2}\right)(2.4\,\mathrm m)

\implies v=11\,\dfrac{\mathrm m}{\mathrm s}

Can a molecule have bond dipoles but not have a molecular dipole?
MissTica

Answer: Yes

Explanation: A molecule has a bond dipole but not have a molecular dipole.

Dipole moment:  dipole moment is the product of the distribution of the charge of the molecules and the distance between of the molecules.

Example:

lets take an example of  CO_{2} molecule in which two electro negative oxygen atoms are attached with Carbon atom. Oxygen being electro negative will attract the shared pair electrons towards itself and  partial negative charge will create on oxygen atom and partial positive charge on carbon atom C.

due to formation of partial positive and partial negative charges dipole moment is created between oxygen and Carbon bond on both the sides in opposite direction.

Since, the dipole moment acting in opposite direction the net dipole moment in the molecule is zero.

Hence, Yes, a molecule has bond dipoles but not have a molecular dipole.

In figure 16-2 is the temperature of the material within the cylinder greatest during the intake stroke, compression stroke, pow
erastovalidia [21]
Technically, we have no way of knowing that without seeing Figure 16-2.
So the question should be reported for incomplete content.  But I'm
going to take a wild stab at it anyway.

There's so much discussion of 'cylinder' and 'strokes' in the question,
I have a hunch that it's talking about the guts of a 4-stroke internal
combustion gasoline engine.

If I'm right, then the temperature of the material within the cylinder is
greatest right after the spark ignites it.  At that instant, the material burns,
explodes, expands violently, and drives the piston down with its stiff shot
of pressure.

This is obviously happening because of the great, sudden increase in
temperature when the material ignites and explodes.

It hits the piston with pressure, which leads directly to the power stroke.
