Most likely means that there is a very high chance of an event happening, but this is not for sure going to happen. Equally likely means that there is an equal chance between/among two or more events happening. For example, if there were a 50% of rain and a 50% chance of dry weather, we would call the two scenarios equally likely. Certainly means that an event has a 100% chance of happening and will definitely happen.

Most likely: the one that is probably the best

equally likely: two or more are equal in value

Ethan spends a total of $26.75 on 3 drinks and 5 bags of popcorn. Noah spends a total of $18.50 on 9 drinks and 2 bags of popcor
Bingel [31]

Answer:

$ 4.75

Step-by-step explanation:

In this case we can solve it using a 2x2 system of equations, like this:

let x: price of drinks

let y: bags of popcorn price

SW:

3 * x + 5 * y = 26.75

9 * x + 2 * y = 18.50 => x = (18.5 - 2 * y) / 9

Replacing, we are left with that:

3 * (18.5 - 2 * y) / 9 + 5 * y = 26.75

6.167- 0.67 * y + 5 * y = 26.75

- 0.67 * y + 5 * y = 26.75 - 6.167

4.33 * y = 20,583

y = 20,583 / 4.33

y = 4.75

Now to calculate x:

x = (18.5 - 2 * 4.75) / 9

x = 1

That is, the value of the drinks is $ 1 and the value of bags of popcorn is $ 4.75

Pls help: without graphing determine whether the function represents exponential growth or exponential decay. Then find y-interc
Mrac [35]

Given

0.99(\frac{1}{3})^x

To determine whether the function represents exponential growth or exponential decay, and the y-intercept.

now,

It is given that,

0.99(\frac{1}{3})^x

The exponential functions are of the form,

y=ab^x

If a is positive and b is greater than 1, then it represents exponential growth.

And, if a is positive and b is greater than 0 and less than 1, then it represents exponential decay.

Since b=1/3<1.

Then, the given function represents exponential decay.

The y- intercept of the function is,

\begin{gathered} y=0.99(\frac{1}{3})^x \\ \text{When x=0.} \\ y=0.99(\frac{1}{3})^0 \\ y=0.99 \end{gathered}

Hence, the y-intercept is 0.99.

If lines m and n are parallel, and < 1 measures 125°, which is the measure of < 2?
marissa [1.9K]
C. 55 degrees.
Solving: Since it’s on the same line, you can do 180 - 125 to solve for.
