A squirrel runs along an overhead telephone wire that stretches from the top of one pole to the next. It is initially at positio

n x i = 3.47 m , as measured from the center of the wire segment. It then undergoes a displacement of Δx = − 6.29 m . What is the squirrel's final position xf ?

Answer:

The the squirrel's final position is − 2.82 m

Explanation:

ΔX = Xf - Xi

Where;

ΔX is the displacement in the squirrel's position = − 6.29 m

Xf is the the squirrel's final position = ?

Xi is the the squirrel's initial position = 3.47 m

From the equation above

Xf = ΔX + Xi

Xf = (− 6.29 + 3.47) m

Xf = − 2.82 m

Therefore, for a squirrel with an initial position of 3.47 m and displacement in position as − 6.29 m, the final position will be − 2.82 m

The period of oscillation is T = 2 * pi * sqrt ( ( m2/3 + m1) / k )

What is period of oscillation?

This is the time in seconds it takes to complete one oscillation. where an oscillation is a repetitive to and fro motion. period if the inverse of frequency and both are basic when calculation motion in simple harmonic motion.

The period of oscillation is given as T

T = 2 * pi * sqrt ( m / k )

where

m = mass on this case mass of the spring will be inclusive to the mass of the block such that we have:

m1 = mass of the block

m2 = mass pf the spring

k = force constant of the spring

including the two masses to the period gives

T = 2 * pi * sqrt ( ( m2/3 + m1) / k )

An automobile moves on a level horizontal road in a circle of radius 30 m. The coefficient of
blondinia [14]

Answer:

v = 12.12 m/s

Explanation:

It is given that,

Radius of circle, r = 30 m

The coefficient friction between tires and road is 0.5,

The centripetal force is balanced by the force of friction such that,

v = 12.12 m/s

So, the maximum speed with which this car can round this curve is 12.12 m/s. Hence, this is the required solution.
