Answer:

(From the least to the greatest) Glass < Iron < Water

Explanation:

The greater the specific heat of the material, the greater the amount of heat needed to increase temperature. Specific heats of each material are presented below:

Iron (Rank 2)

450\,\frac{J}{kg\cdot K}

Glass (Rank 1)

0.8\,\frac{J}{kg\cdot K}

Water (Rank 3)

4186\,\frac{J}{kg\cdot K}

Two violinists are trying to tune their instruments in an orchestra. One is producing the desired frequency of 440.0 hz. The oth
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

Percentage change in tension is 3.8%

Explanation:

We have given initially frequency f_1 = 440 Hz

Let tension in the string at this frequency is T_1

Now second frequency is f_2=448.4Hz

Frequency in string is given by

f=\frac{1}{2L}\sqrt{\frac{T}{\mu }}

From the relation we can say that

\frac{f_1}{f_2}=\sqrt{\frac{T_1}{T_2}}

\frac{440}{448.4}=\sqrt{\frac{T_1}{T_2}}

{\frac{T_2}{T_1}}=1.038

Percentage change in tension is equal to

=\frac{T_2-T_1}{T_1}=\frac{T_2}{T_1}-1=(1.038-1)\times 100=3.8 %

So percentage change in tension is 3.8%

Vector A has a magnitude of 63 units and points west, while vector B has the same magnitude and points due south. Find the magni
ozzi

Given :

Vector A has a magnitude of 63 units and points west, while vector B has the same magnitude and points due south.

To Find :

The magnitude and direction of

a) A + B .

b) A - B.

Solution :

Let , direction in north is given by +j and east is given by +i .

So , A=-63i and B=63j

Now , A + B is given by :

A+B=-63i+63j

| A+B | = 63\sqrt{2}

Direction of A+B is 45° north of west .

Also , for A-B :

A-B=-63i-63j

|A-B|=63\sqrt{2}

Direction of A-B is 45° south of west .

( When two vector of same magnitude which are perpendicular to each other are added or subtracted the resultant is always 45° from each of them)

Hence , this is the required solution .

How can a person detect infrared rays without an instrument?
natita [175]
So we want to know how can we detect infrared rays without an instrument. Infrared rays or heat, are a part of electromagnetic spectrum. We have specialized nerve cells in our skin called thermoreceptors that can detect differences in temperature that are produced by infrared part of EM spectrum.
