Explanation:

Gender socialization is how we tend to associate certain roles or socialization behavior to diffrent gender. Boys and girls are raised differently to adopt certain behavior that are said to be appropriate for that gender. This ranges from behavior,personality traits and attitudes which are encouraged for each gender.

This also used to be common when children go to school teachers had different expectations for each gender such as teachers giving boys the more challenging tasks when girls are given a bit less demanding task. Boy were expected to take on difficult subject that can prepare them for jobs such as engineering which were not expected jobs for girls.
