Since here two bulbs are connected in a line without any branching between them

Also there is same current through out the circuit in both bulbs

So it is SERIES combination of the circuit

here in series

current remains same

V = V_1 + V_2 ......

so correct answer is

<u>B. Series</u>

a. A beam of light is incident from air on the surface of a liquid. If the angle of incidence is 26.7° and the angle of refracti
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Answer:

(a). The critical angle for the liquid when surrounded by air is 44.37°

(b). The angle of refraction is 26.17°.

Explanation:

Given that,

Incidence angle = 26.7°

Refraction angle = 18.3°

(a). We need to calculate the refraction of liquid

Using Snell's law

n=\dfrac{\sin i}{\sin r}

Put the value into the formula

n=\dfrac{\sin 26.7}{\sin 18.3}

n=1.43

We need to critical angle for the liquid when surrounded by air

Using formula of critical angle

C=\sin^{-1}(\dfrac{1}{n})

Put the value into the formula

C=\sin^{-1}(\dfrac{1}{1.43})

C=44.37^{\circ}

(b). Given that,

Incidence angle = 37.5°

Speed of light in mineral v=2.17\times10^{8}\ m/s

We need to calculate the index of refraction

Using formula of index of refraction

n=\dfrac{c}{v}

Put the value into the formula

n=\dfrac{3\times10^{8}}{2.17\times10^{8}}

n=1.38

We need to calculate the angle of refraction

Using Snell's law

n=\dfrac{\sin i}{\sin r}

\sin r=\dfrac{\sin i}{n}

Put the value into the formula

\sin r=\dfrac{\sin 37.5}{1.38}

r=\sin^{-1}(\dfrac{\sin 37.5}{1.38})

r=26.17^{\circ}

Hence, (a). The critical angle for the liquid when surrounded by air is 44.37°

(b). The angle of refraction is 26.17°.

Un hombre de pie puede ejercer la misma fuerza con sus piernas tanto en la tierra como en la luna. Sabemos que la masa del hombr
Paul [167]

Answer:

The height jumped by the person on the moon is 6 times the height jumped by the person on earth.

Explanation:

As we know that the acceleration due to gravity on moon is 1/6 of the acceleration due to gravity on earth.

So, it is false.

Let the mass of man is m and the gravity on moon is g' = g/6.

Let the height jumped on earth is h and the height jumped on moon is h'.

So,

m x g' x h' = m x g x h

g/6 x h' = g x h

h' = 6 h

So, the height jumped by the person is 6 times the height jumped by the person on earth.

A raft is made using a number of logs (TBD) with 25-cm diameter and 2-m-length. It is desired that a maximum 90 percent volume o
Vilka [71]

Answer:

6logs

Explanation:f

First finding the volume of the logs

V= π/4d²l

= 0.098m³

So number of logs will be

Weight of 2 boys + weight of log = buoyancy force.

So

2( 400)+ N ( Mlog x g) = density of water x volume displaced x g

2(400) = N x 0.098x 1000x 9.8 x 0.9- 0.75* 1000

N= 5.5 which is approx 6logs

An object is moving east with a constant speed of 30 m/s for 5 seconds. What is the object’s acceleration?
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

6 m/s²

Explanation:

From the question given above, the following data were obtained:

Velocity (v) = 30 m/s

Time (t) = 5 s

Acceleration (a) =..?

Acceleration is defined mathematically as:

Acceleration (a) = Velocity (v) /time (t)

a = v /t

With the above formula, we can obtain the acceleration of the object as follow:

Velocity (v) = 30 m/s

Time (t) = 5 s

Acceleration (a) =..?

a= v/t

a= 30/5

a = 6 m/s²

Therefore, the acceleration of the object is 6 m/s² due East.
