My Business- Fashion Designing

My Gain- Daily profit generation, Job Satisfaction, Improvement of my business skill.

Community Gain- Access to well-designed dresses, Training for youths who wish to gain the skill

Country Gain- Employment of citizens, Contribution to the gross domestic product

Explanation:

In my business as a Fashion Designer, I benefit from the fact that I can make money for myself doing what I love. The business also affords me the opportunity to improve my business skill. For instance, good marketing helps me reach a wider audience.

The community I live in benefits from my service because they can always come to design their dresses in whatever styles they desire. Youths and others who wish to gain some skill can also register at an affordable price.

The country I reside in also benefits from the revenue generated from the business because it contributes to its gross domestic product. The citizens are also gainfully employed through the business.

explain how the price consumers pay for a good is influenced by the price of the resources that go into making it
Reika [66]

Answer:

Here's an example

I sell bead bracelets for $5.00. The chord I use to make them is $2.50 for 5 feet. Each bracelet needs 1/4 of a foot of chord. That is $0.13 worth of chord per bracelet. The beads I use are 30 beads for $1.00. I use 5 beads in each bracelet. That is $0.17 worth of beads per bracelet. The total price of the materials per bracelet is 30 cents. Let's say It takes me 10 minutes to make a single bracelet. If I sell the bracelet at 30 cents, I would no have made a profit and would instead lose 10 minutes of my time. If I sell it for anything less, I would be losing money and time. If I want to make a profit, I need to add the money I want to make plus the cost of resources. Therefore, if I want to make a profit of $4.70, I must sell the bracelets for $5.00.

As winner of a breakfast cereal competition, you can choose one of the following prizes: a. $180,000 at the end of five years. b
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

i. Discounted cashflow equations.

a.  $180,000 at the end of five years.

This is a lump sum present value/ discounted cashflow which can be calculated as;

Formula = 180,000 / ( 1 + r)^n

= 180,000/ ( 1 + 12%)^5

= $102,136.83

b. $11,400 a year forever

This is a perpetuity. The present value/ discounted cashflow of a perpetuity is calculated as;

Formula = Amount/rate

= 11,400/12%

= $95,000

c. $19,000 for each of 10 years.

This is an annuity. The formula for calculating the Present value/ discounted cashflow of an annuity is;

Formula = Annuity * [\frac{( 1 - (1 + i)^{-n} )}{i} ] where <em>i </em>is interest rate and <em>n</em> is number of periods

= 19,000 * [\frac{( 1 - (1 + 0.12)^{-10} )}{0.12} ]

= $107,354.24

d. $6,500 next year and increasing thereafter by 5% a year forever.

This is a growing perpetuity. The present value/ discounted cashflow formula is;

= Amount / ( discount rate - growth rate)

= 6,500 / ( 12% - 5%)

= $92,857.14

ii. Choose <u>$19,000 for each of 10 years</u> as it has the highest present value.

The computation of the decrease in the value of the retained earning is given below:

The dividend of the stock is
