How much work is required to bring three protons, initially infinitely far apart, to a configuration where each proton is 1.5×10

−15m from the other two? (This is a typical separation for protons in a nucleus.) Express your answer using two significant figures.

Answer:

W=46.08\times 10^{-14}J

Explanation:

The work done(W) in bringing 2 protons to a separation 'r' is given as:

W=\frac{kq^2}{r}

where,

k= coulomb's constant = 9 × 10⁹ N

q = charge of protons = 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ C

Now, the third charge (or proton) is brought near the other two  protons

Thus, work done against both these is

W_2+W_3=\frac{kq^2}{r}+\frac{kq^2}{r}

Now,

The total work done (W) = W_1 +W_2+W_3=3\frac{kq^2}{r}

or

W=3\times \frac{9\times 10^9\times (1.6\times 10^{-19})^2}{1.5\times 10{-15}}

or

W=46.08\times 10^{-14}J

calculate the resistance of a wire 150cm long and diameter 2.0mm constructed from an alloy of resistivity 44*10-⁸Ωm
Ghella [55]

Answer:

R = 0.21 Ω

Explanation:

the formula:

R = r x l/A

R = (44 x 10-⁸ Ωm) x 1.5 / (π x (1 x 10-³ m)²)

R = 6.6 x 10-⁷ / 3.14 x 10-⁶

R = 0.21 Ω

What would happen if both the radius and mass of a planet were cut in half
Shtirlitz [24]

Explanation:

According to formula

g = GM/R^2

when mass is halved the value of g becomes half but when radius is halved the value of g increases 4 times.

As a result of both value of g becomes twice.

"Emergency resource guidebook" would provide you with the best initial information about this chemical

Explanation:

This guidebook is for the first responders in case of the beginning of any dangerous goods or the hazardous materials transportation incident. It is used in firefighters, paramedics and for the police officers, in countries like Canada, Mexico and also in the United states when responding to these accident cases becomes delay. The book has different colours in it, for chemicals it will be green colour whereas the blue or the yellow colour shows the toxic inhalation materials. In TIH it has initial isolation distance and protective action distance information against the accident. The white is the host specific.
