Physics

The correct answer is B.

Fault block mountains form when faults or cracks  in the earth's crust  force materials or blocks of rocks downward and others upwards.

This happens when instead of the earth folding over, the earth's crust  pulls apart breaking up into chunks or blocks . These blocks get stacked on each other with some projecting up above the  surface of the crust forming a mountain. Such mountains usually have a steep front side and a sloping back side.

A rock is thrown with a force of 500 N and an acceleration is 75 m/s^2. What is its mass?
artcher [175]

Answer:

We conclude that the mass of a rock with a force of 500 N and an acceleration of 75 m/s² is 6.7 kg.

Hence, option D is correct.

Explanation:

Given

  • Force F = 500 N
  • Acceleration a = 75 m/s²

To determine

Mass m = ?

Important Tip:

  • The mass of a rock can be found using the formula F = ma

Using the formula

F = ma

where

  • F is the force (N)
  • m is the mass (kg)
  • a is the acceleration (m/s²)

now substituting F = 500, and a = 75 m/s² in the formula

F = ma

500 = m(75)

switch sides

m\left(75\right)=500

Divide both sides by 75

\frac{m\cdot \:75}{75}=\frac{500}{75}

simplify

m=\frac{20}{3}

m=6.7 kg

Therefore, we conclude that the mass of a rock with a force of 500 N and an acceleration of 75 m/s² is 6.7 kg.

Hence, option D is correct.

a 15.0k resistor is hooked up to 45.0v battery in a circuit with a switch a.) Draw a circuit diagram for the circuit described.
Luda [366]
For item#1 , see attached picture, there is a voltage source, a resistor and wire (where current flow).

For item#2, we use the formula V=IR where "V" is for the voltage, "I" is for the current and "R" for the resistance
Solving for I:
I = v/r
I = 45volts/15k ohms
I=3 mA

For item#3, power is P=VI
p = 45volts * 3ma
P = 0.135 Watts

What was the "Plum Pudding" model of the atom and it's electrons?
MrMuchimi
The 'plum pudding<span>' </span>model of the atom<span> was proposed by JJ Thomson, who had also discovered the </span>electron<span>. It was put forth before the discovery of the nucleus. According to this </span>model<span>, the </span>atom<span> is a sphere of positive charge, and negatively charged </span>electrons<span> are embedded in it to balance the total positive charge.</span>
