Answer:

The value of acceleration of the balloon a = 2.9 \frac{m}{s^{2} }

Explanation:

Diameter = 8 m

Mass = 400 kg

Speed V = 50\frac{km}{hr} = 13.89 \frac{m}{s}

Coefficient of drag C_D = 0.2 for air

Area = \pi (4^{2} ) = 50.24 m^{2}

We know that force on the balloon is given by

F = \frac{1}{2} \rho A V^{2}  C_D

Put all the values in above equation we get

F = \frac{1}{2} (1.2) (50.24) (13.89)^{2} × 0.2

F = 1163.15 N

Now acceleration of the balloon is given by

a = \frac{F}{m}

a = \frac{1163.15}{400}

a = 2.9 \frac{m}{s^{2} }

This is the value of acceleration of the balloon.

What will be net force be if net forces are unbalanced?
malfutka [58]

Answer: If the forces on an object are balanced, the net force is zero. If the forces are unbalanced forces, the effects don't cancel each other. Any time the forces acting on an object are unbalanced, the net force is not zero, and the motion of the object changes.

What is the relationship between Newton's first law of motion and inertia?
adelina 88 [10]

Explanation: Newton's first law of motion states that a body at rest remains at rest, or, if in motion, remains in motion at a constant velocity unless acted on by a net external force. This is also known as the law of inertia. Inertia is the tendency of an object to remain at rest or remain in motion.

What does it mean to say that science is a “systematic” process?
Maurinko [17]
Systematic is just a certain way of doing something. So science being systematic may just refer to the scientific method or how theories are proved in science by repeating the scientific method over and over again.
