Listening is the ability of the brain to understand and react to the words. both the ears and brain is involved in the action of listening.

But hearing only involves the ears not the brain.

While we are talking to somebody we can easily hear all the things that is said but when it comes to listening we need to stay focused as it involves brain.

So, it is impossible to listen while we are talking.
