Answer:

The mechanical advantage of a wedge can be calculated by dividing the length of the wedge's slope by the wedge's width: The more acute, or narrow, the angle of a wedge, the greater the ratio of the length of its slope to its width, and thus the more mechanical advantage it will yield

What kind of gas cloud is most likely to give birth to stars? what kind of gas cloud is most likely to give birth to stars? a co
navik [9.2K]
Hello!

The kind of gas cloud that is most likely to give birth to stars is a cold, dense gas cloud.

Stars are formed in giant molecular clouds, called "star nurseries". These are regions with molecular Hydrogen, Helium, and little amounts of other elements. These are cold and dense regions, and the gas cloud collapses, forming a protostar. The protostar gradually heats, powering nuclear reactions in its center, which increases the temperature even more and giving birth to a star.

A child pulls on a wagon with a horizontal force of 75 N. If the wagon moves horizontally a total of 42 m in 1.5.0 min, what is
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Answer:

B) 35 W

Explanation:

Force applied by child =  75 N = F

Distance travelled by child = 42 m = d

Time traveled for is 1.5 min = 1.5×60 = 90 seconds = t

Work done by the child

W = Fdcosθ

⇒W = 75×42cos0

⇒W = 3150 Joule

Power is defined as work done per unit time

P=\frac{W}{t}\\\Rightarrow P=\frac{3150}{90}=35\ W

∴ The average power generated by the child is 35 W

If a bicycle has an average acceleration of -0.44 m/s^2, and its initial forward velocity is 8.2 m/s, how long will it take the
Papessa [141]

Answer:

The value is  t = 18.6 s

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

     The average acceleration of the bicycle is v  =  -0.44 \  m/s^2

      The initial forward velocity is  u  =  8.2 \ m/s

Generally from kinematic equations we have that

      v  =  u + at

Here v is the final velocity of the bicycle and the value is v = 0 m/s

So

      0   =  8.2  + (-0.44)t

=>    t = 18.6 s
