Answer:

Congruent; Not Congruent; Congruent; Not Congruent; Not Congruent; Congruent

Step-by-step explanation:

We will use the distance formula to find the length of each segment:

AB=\sqrt{(-4--3)^2+(4-2)^2}=\sqrt{(-1)^2+(2)^2}=\sqrt{1+4}=\sqrt{5}\\\\BC=\sqrt{(-3--1)^2+(4-1)^2}=\sqrt{(-2)^2+(3)^2}=\sqrt{4+9}=\sqrt{13}\\\\AC=\sqrt{(2-1)^2+(-4--1)^2}=\sqrt{(1)^2+(-3)^2}=\sqrt{1+9}=\sqrt{10}

In order for ABC to be congruent to DEF, AB must be congruent to DE, BC must be congruent to EF, and AC must be congruent to DF:

DE=\sqrt{(4-3)^2+(-2--4)^2}=\sqrt{(1)^2+(2)^2}=\sqrt{1+4}=\sqrt{5}\\\\EF=\sqrt{(3-1)^2+(-4--1)^2}=\sqrt{(2)^2+(-3)^2}=\sqrt{4+9}=\sqrt{13}\\\\DF=\sqrt{(4-1)^2+(-2--1)^2}=\sqrt{(3)^2+(-1)^2}=\sqrt{9+1}=\sqrt{10}

Since AB is congruent to DE, BC is congruent to EF and AC is congruent to DF, the two triangles are congruent.

In order for ABC to be congruent to JKL, AB must be congruent to JK, BC must be congruent to KL, and AC must be congruent to JL.  We know the measurements of AB, BC and AC;

JK=\sqrt{(-4--2)^2+(-1--3)^2}=\sqrt{(-2)^2+(2)^2}=\sqrt{4+4}=\sqrt{8}\\\\KL=\sqrt{(-2--1)^2+(-3-0)^2}=\sqrt{(-1)^2+(-3)^2}=\sqrt{1+9}=\sqrt{10}\\\\JL=\sqrt{(-1--4)^2+(0--1)^2}=\sqrt{(3)^2+(1)^2}=\sqrt{9+1}=\sqrt{10}

While AC is congruent to JL, the other two corresponding pairs of sides are not congruent.  Therefore the triangles are not congruent.

In order for ABC to be congruent to QRS, AB must be congruent to QR, BC must be congruent to RS, and AC must be congruent to QS.  We know the measurements of AB, BC and AC;

QR=\sqrt{(3-4)^2+(3-1)^2}=\sqrt{(-1)^2+(2)^2}=\sqrt{1+4}=\sqrt{5}\\\\RS=\sqrt{(3-1)^2+(3-0)^2}=\sqrt{(2)^2+(3)^2}=\sqrt{4+9}=\sqrt{13}\\\\QS=\sqrt{(4-1)^2+(1-0)^2}=\sqrt{(3)^2+(1)^2}=\sqrt{9+1}=\sqrt{10}

Since AB is congruent to QR, BC is congruent to RS, and AC is congruent to QS, this means that the two triangles are congruent.

Since ABC is congruent to DEF, and ABC is not congruent to JKL, this means that triangle DEF is not congruent to triangle JKL.

Since ABC is congruent to QRS, and QRS is not congruent to JKL, this means that triangle QRS is not congruent to JKL.

Since ABC is congruent to DEF and ABC is congruent to QRS, this means that DEF is congruent to QRS by the transitive property.

A sea horse riding travels an average of 0.01 miles per hour. At that rate , how fast can a sea horse travel in 2.4 hours?
kondaur [170]
As for this problem, it would be best to approach this with a ratio to ratio approach. This would then involve the equation with fractions which is the common conversion from ratios to easily solve the problems concerning these. The equation then would look somehow like this:

0.01 miles / 1 hour = x miles / 2.4 hours

The easiest way would be just to multiply the numerator, which is the miles, to 2.4. So when it is multiplied to the numerator, the equation then would turn to:

0.01 miles x 2.4 / 1 hour = x miles / 2.4 hours

0.024 miles would be the answer.

Sabra joins a cooking club for $8.50 and pays $6.25 each month. She also joins a movie club for $12 and pays $3.75 each month. W
podryga [215]

Simplified expression for total amount spent is 10(2.05 + m)

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Step 1: Write expression for expense on joining cooking club for m months.

Expense = 8.50 + 6.25 × m

  • Step 2: Write expression for expense on joining movie club for m months.

Expense = 12 + 3.75 × m

  • Step 3: Calculate the total amount spent on both clubs

Total Amount = 8.50 + 6.25m + 12 + 3.75m = 20.5 + 10m = 10(2.05 + m)

A certain organization recommends the use of passwords with the following format: vowel commavowel, consonant comma consonant c
zimovet [89]

The password format is = inpray93

vowel , consonant, consonant, consonant, vowel, consonant, number, number.

There are 21 consonants, 5 vowels and 10 number choices (0-9)

Since, there are 21 consonants and repetition is allowed so for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th positions 21 choices are available. For 1st and 5th positions, 5 choices  are available and for 7th and 8th position there are 10 choices (0 to 9).

Passwords are not case sensitive which means upper case and lower case letters are same.

So, the number of passwords can be =

5\times21\times21\times21\times5\times21\times10\times10

= 486202500

Part (b) question is not given. But it can be opposite to the first part i.e when the password letters are case sensitive.

This means all the letters are different.

So, number of passwords will be =

10\times42\times42\times42\times10\times42\times10\times10

= 31116960000
