First, I would make a copy of Table 2-2 with some color of ink
that's visible, to replace the current one printed in invisible ink.

That change would immediately make the whole table more useful,
and I could go ahead and think about how to reorganize the data.

A car has an initial velocity of 10m/s. It accelerates at a rate of 2m/s2 until it reaches 30m/s. How far does it travel and for
Anna [14]

Answer:

acceleration=(v final-vinitial)/time

a=(vf-vi)/t

2=(30-10)/t

2=20/t

t=20/2=10 seconds

distance=v0t+at²/2

d=10 x 10+ 2x 10²/2=100+100= 200 m

A baseball has a momentum of 6.0 kg m/s south and a mass of 0.15 kg. What is the baseball’s velocity? Show work
kupik [55]

Momentum of an object is defined as product of mass and velocity

so it is given as

P = m* v

here it is given that

mass = 0.15 kg

momentum = 6 kg m/s

so by plug in values in the above equation

6 = 0.15 * v

v = \frac{6}{0.15}

v = 40 m/s

so its speed will be 40 m/s

a uniform electric field E=15 N/C points downwards. A particle with charge q=-0.15 C is placed in the electric field. What is th
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

2.25 N upwards

Explanation:

Answer:

800 N/C to the right

Explanation:

The equation that relates force on a charge, electric field and charge is

F=qE

where

F is the force acting on the charge

q is the charge

E is the electric field

In this problem, we have

E=15 N/C is the electric field

q=-0.15 C is the charge

Substituting into the formula, we find the force

F=(-0.15 C)(15 N/C)=-2.25 N

Concerning the direction:

- The electric field and the force have same directions if the charge is positive

- The electric field and the force have opposite directions if the charge is negative

Here the charge is negative, so the electric field has opposite direction to the force: therefore, it must be upwards.
