Question 4 <br> Use the figure below to find the value of x and y
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

x=4, y=8

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1

Find the value of y

we know that

In the right triangle of the figure

cos(30\°)=\frac{4\sqrt{3}}{y}

Remember that

cos(30\°)=\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}

so

\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}=\frac{4\sqrt{3}}{y}

Simplify

y=8\ units

step 2

Find the value of x

In the right triangle of the figure

sin(30\°)=\frac{x}{8}

Remember that

sin(30\°)=\frac{1}{2}

so

\frac{1}{2}=\frac{x}{8}

x=4\ units

How do i solve this pls
miskamm [114]
First we would solve both x’s
3x^2 - 5x
But 3 has the thingy thing (forgot the name haha)
Which means you have to multiply it by itself that many times which would be
3x3=9
So now it would be
9x- 5x = 4x
Which leaves 7 and 4x

Now you may subtract those two

7-4x= 3x

Find the solutions of the form x=a,y=0and x=0 ,y=b for the following equations: 2x+5y=10 and 2x+3y=6. is there any common soluti
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

 x=0 and y=2

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given system of equations:

2x+5y=10     (1)

And 2x+3y=6     (2)

Subtract equation (2) from(1) we get:

2y=4

y=2

Now, substitute y=2 in equation(2) we get:

2x+3(2)=6

2x+6=6

2x=0

x=0

Hence, x=0 and y=2
