secondary voltage = primary voltage · (secondary turns / primary turns)secondary turns = (secondary voltage / primary voltage) ·

primary turnssecondary turns = (9600-V AC / 120-V AC) · 100 turnsThe transformer supplying power to an artist's light sculpture provides 9600-V AC when supplied by 120-V AC. If there are 100 turns in the transformer's primary coil, how many turns are there in its secondary coil?

Answer:

8000 turns

Explanation:

the relation between number of turns of primary and secondary coils and the respective voltages are given as

N1/N2=V1/V2

Where,

•N1 is no. of turns in primary coil

•N2 is no. of turns in secondary coil

•V1 is voltage in primary coil ie, Input voltage

•V2 is voltage in secondary coil ie, Output voltage

from the question we get,

V1=120 V

V2=9600 V

N1=100 turns

N2 = N1 x (V2/V1)

= 100 x (9600/120)

= 100 x 80

= 8000

So, No. of turns in secondary coil= 8000

Describe a situation in which you can accelerate even though your speed doesn’t change.
KATRIN_1 [288]

Acceleration is not the same as speeding up. It refers to any modification of motion's direction or speed. Accelerated motion is any movement that is not constant speed in a straight line.

What is meant by acceleration?

The rate at which an object's velocity for time changes is referred to as acceleration in mechanics. They are vector quantities and accelerations. The direction of the net force acting on an object determines the direction of its acceleration.

An object's velocity can alter depending on whether it moves faster or slower or in a different direction. A falling apple, the moon orbiting the earth, and a car stopped at a stop sign are a few instances of acceleration.

The rate at which velocity changes is called acceleration. Acceleration typically indicates a change in speed, but not necessarily. An item that follows a circular course while maintaining a constant speed is still moving forward because the direction of its motion is shifting.
