secondary voltage = primary voltage · (secondary turns / primary turns)secondary turns = (secondary voltage / primary voltage) ·

primary turnssecondary turns = (9600-V AC / 120-V AC) · 100 turnsThe transformer supplying power to an artist's light sculpture provides 9600-V AC when supplied by 120-V AC. If there are 100 turns in the transformer's primary coil, how many turns are there in its secondary coil?

Answer:

8000 turns

Explanation:

the relation between number of turns of primary and secondary coils and the respective voltages are given as

N1/N2=V1/V2

Where,

•N1 is no. of turns in primary coil

•N2 is no. of turns in secondary coil

•V1 is voltage in primary coil ie, Input voltage

•V2 is voltage in secondary coil ie, Output voltage

from the question we get,

V1=120 V

V2=9600 V

N1=100 turns

N2 = N1 x (V2/V1)

= 100 x (9600/120)

= 100 x 80

= 8000

So, No. of turns in secondary coil= 8000

What is electric resistance?
andriy [413]
Electrical resistance is opposition to the flow of current in an electric circuit: resistance converts electrical energy to thermal energy, and in this regard is similar to mechanical friction. Resistances are said to dissipate electrical energy as heat.

If mass of the planet is 10% less than that of
Leokris [45]

Answer:

25kg

Explanation:

The formula for acceleration due to gravity is:

g=\dfrac{GM}{r^2}

Here, G represents a constant and M represents the mass of the object. We don't need to know the actual values to solve this, then: We can just multiply by the amount they are multiplied relative to earth.

g=\dfrac{G(0.9M)}{(1.2r)^2}=0.625g

Multiplying this by the weight of the person on Earth of 40kg, you get 0.625*40=25kg.

Hope this helps!

Suppose two objects are attracting each other gravitationally. If you double the distance between them, the strength of their gr
Roman55 [17]

Answer:

decreases by a factor of 4

Explanation:

Lets take mass of the objects are m₁ and m₂ and the distance between them at initial condition is R.

We know that attraction force between two object given as

F=G\dfrac{m_1m_2}{R^2}

G=Constant

If distance become 2 R

R' = 2R

F'=G\dfrac{m_1m_2}{R'^2}

F'=G\dfrac{m_1m_2}{(2R)^2}

F'=G\dfrac{m_1m_2}{4R^2}

F'=\dfrac{1}{4}\times G\dfrac{m_1m_2}{R^2}

F'=\dfrac{F}{4}

Therefore we can say that gravitational force will become one forth of the initial force.
