Answer:

C.)Finding the area bound by the horizontal axis and the curve from 0 s to 5 s

D.)Using Average Speed = total distance/total and multiplying the average speed of 5m/s by a total time of 5 s

Explanation:

The graph seems to be missing, however we can still answer the question.

In fact, we have to keep in mind the following facts:

- In a velocity-time graph, the area under the curve represents the displacement of the object, while the slope of the curve corresponds to its acceleration.

From this, we can already say that the following option:

C.)Finding the area bound by the horizontal axis and the curve from 0 s to 5 s

is correct, while the statement

A.)Finding the slope of the line between 0 s to 5 s

is wrong.

Moreover, the average speed of an object in motion is given by

v=\frac{d}{t}

where d is the total distance covered while t is the total time taken. Once we have calculated the average speed, the total displacement over a certain time period can be simply calculated by multiplying the average speed by the time interval: so, the option

D.)Using Average Speed = total distance/total and multiplying the average speed of 5m/s by a total time of 5 s

is also correct.

The last option remained:

B.)Dividing the change in velocity between 0 s to 5 s by the change in time

is wrong, because in this way we are calculating the acceleration, not the displacement.

A motorcycle moving 18.8 m/s has
57800 J of KE. What is its mass?
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

m = 327.07 kg

Explanation:

Given that,

Kinetic energy of a motorcycle, E = 57800 J

Velocity of the motorcycle, v = 18.8 m/s

We need to find the mass of the motorcycle. The kinetic energy of an object is given by :

E=\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2

m is mass

m=\dfrac{2E}{v^2}\\\\m=\dfrac{2\times 57800 }{(18.8)^2}\\\\m=327.07\ kg

So, the mass of the motorcycle is 327.07 kg.

inysia [295]

We're told that the planets have EQUAL MASS.

If that's true, then the strength of the gravitational forces between
each planet and the star depends only on the distance between
them ... the farther a planet is from the star, the smaller the
gravitational forces are IF we're talking about planets with
equal masses.

Planet-X is closer to the star, and Planet-Y is farther from it.
From this we know that the gravitational forces between the
star and Planet-X are greater, and the forces between the star
and Planet-Y are smaller.

'A' says this.

'B' is totally absurd, because it talks about gravity repelling things.

'C' says exactly the opposite for the two planets.

'D' says that distance doesn't matter. We know this is absurd,
simply because we're never pulled toward Jupiter in our daily life.

Which of the following statements is true about magnetic fields produced by current-carrying wires?
Anit [1.1K]
The larger the current flowing in a wire, the stronger the magnetic field
is that surrounds the wire.

That's why, if you want to make an electromagnet stronger, one way to
do it is to add another battery. By increasing the voltage, you'll increase
the current flowing in the coils of wire, and the electromagnet will be stronger.

Matthew throws a ball straight up into the air. It rises for a period of time and then begins to drop. At which points in the ba
PolarNik [594]

Answer:

If air resistance is taken as negligible, then the ball is in freefall the moment it is thrown so gravity is the only force acting on the object. If air resistance is not negligible then gravity will be the greatest force acting on the ball while it is going up and coming down, because Fair has to be less than gravity at all times otherwise the atmosphere would wither away.
