Answer:

(-2, 0), (-3, 0) and (5, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

x-intercepts are for

(x + 2)(x + 3)(x - 5) = 0

The product is equal to 0 if one of the factors is equal to 0.

Therefore

x + 2 = 0 or x + 3 = 0 or x - 5 = 9

x + 2 = 0     subtract 2 from both sides

x = -2

x + 3 = 0        subtract 3 from both sides

x = -3

x - 5 = 0              add 5 to both sides

x = 5

Answer:

(-2, 0), (-3, 0), and (5, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

The x-intercept is found when y = 0.

So, we have to find x when (x + 2)(x + 3)(x - 5) = 0

We can do that by pulling apart all parts, because if one part = 0, the whole thing will have to be too (multiplication property of identity).

1. When x + 2 = 0, x = -2

2. When x + 3 = 0, x = -3

3. When x - 5 = 0, x = 5

That gives us (-2, 0), (-3, 0), and (5, 0)

7. Which property of polynomials says that the sum of two polynomials is also a polynomial?
vlabodo [156]

Answer:

Closure property

Step-by-step explanation:

The closure property of polynomials for addition says that, if we add any two polynomials , the result is also a polynomial.

For is

{x}^{2}  + 2

is a polynomial.

x - 2

is also a polynomial.

The sum of the two polynomials is

{x}^{2}  + 2  + x - 2 =  {x}^{2} + x

The result:

{x}^{2}  + x

is also a polynomial.

I can help! With the Greatest Common Factor you figure out the greatest number that can go into all numbers. The number here would be the 2. You then divide 2 by all the numbers in the problem.
You would end up getting x^2 + 6x + 9

I use to struggle with this too. Hope this helps! Have a great day!!

Answer:

a. OM is congruent to ON.

Step-by-step explanation:

To use the HL Theorem, you must have a congruent hypotenuse and a congruent leg. In this case, you have two congruent hypotenuses. You just need to find two congruent legs.

a. OM is congruent to ON. This says that two legs are congruent, so this is your answer.

b. LM is congruent to ML. This does not help as it is saying a segment is the same as the same segment.

c. and d. Both of these use angle measurements, which does not help with the HL Theorem.

Hope this helps!

What is the value of d?

2.2=1.4d+3.7−5.4d
baherus [9]
2.2 = 1.4d + 3.7 - 5.4d = 3.7 - 4d
4d = 3.7 - 2.2 = 1.5
d = 1.5/4 = 0.375
