A shot of whiskey will get you drunk faster than a can of beer. This is because the alcohol content of whiskey is much high than a can of beer, despite the quantity of fluid you will still get drunk much quicker from taking shots of high percentage alcohol than drinking a lot of beer. You will get drunk from a lot of beer but spirits and liquors range around 40% alcohol level while beer is typically around 3 - 4%.
