You are the director of a restorative justice program in your community. It is set up for juvenile offenders and involves circle

sentencing, in which the offender meets with family members, school officials, and the victim and the victim’s relatives and friends. The circle comes up with what should be done, and often there is no punishment per se. Rather, the juvenile is connected with programs that can help him or her get back to school, get a job, or receive vocational training. In the case you are reviewing, you suspect that there are real questions as to whether the juvenile actually committed the burglary he is accused of. There is no evidence to link the juvenile with the crime, and he and his court-appointed attorney have claimed innocence. They then changed their plea and agreed to the restorative justice program, perhaps because if it is completed successfully, the juvenile will have no criminal record. Should you care whether the juvenile is innocent or not, given that the program is restorative, not punitive?

As the director of a restorative justice program in your community, you should NOT care if the juvenile is innocent or not given that the program is restorative, not punitive.

Even though there may be no evidence and the juvenile and his lawyer maintain his innocence, the program is put in place to help juveniles with obtaining job training, educational skills, and other programs that can enrich the youths life in major ways.

How did cultural exchange affect ancient civilizations?
velikii [3]

Answer:Cultural exchange affected ancient civilizations as they became more diverse.

Explanation:Cultural exchange is a process by which different civilizations or social groups begin to contact each other through trade and other means, exchanging not only goods and services but also cultural components such as art, religion, language or architecture, just to name examples.

Thus, for example, the Silk Road was a means of cultural exchange between Europe, the Middle East, and China, through which each region involved in trade through this route began to gain increasing influence from the others. . That caused, for example, Islam to spread to nations in the interior of Asia, or Chinese spices were traded in Italian markets.

As a final result, cultural exchange generated the development of more diverse civilizations, which began to adopt foreign cultural manifestations that enriched their own cultures and ended up adopting certain characteristics as their own (such as Italian food, which has a large number of pasta dishes , which were originally created in China).

Question: How has Islam interpreted monotheism to be its overwhelming principal for the religion. Write a constructed response t
Yanka [14]

Answer:

You're probably aware that Islam is a religion practiced by Muslims. Despite the controversial headlines surrounding the religion, Islam has a rich history and several noteworthy traditions and beliefs. It's believed to have originated in the 7th Century in the territory known today as the Middle East. Islam, which means 'surrender,' is based upon the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. Muhammad was born in the city of Mecca, today considered a holy site, and began preaching about the existence of a single god. In the grand scheme of things, Muhammad is thought to have reinforced monotheism in the Arab world.

In Islam, Muhammad is believed to have received revelations from Allah, which he wrote down. These writings formed the verses found today in the Qur'an, which is the most holy text in Islam. The Qur'an is considered sacred and contains the literal word of God, as relayed to Muhammad.

Today, many practicing Muslims pray up to five times a day, fast during holy holidays, and in many cases, take pilgrimage to sacred sites. In Islam, these acts are known as pillars. There are five pillars of Islam, which each Muslim must practice. The pillars consist of the belief in only one God, ritual prayer five times daily, giving to those in need, fasting through Ramadan (the holy month), and pilgrimage to Mecca (Muhammad's birthplace) at least once in a Muslim's lifetime. The first pillar, or the belief in one God, is key to understanding Islam.
