You are the director of a restorative justice program in your community. It is set up for juvenile offenders and involves circle

sentencing, in which the offender meets with family members, school officials, and the victim and the victim’s relatives and friends. The circle comes up with what should be done, and often there is no punishment per se. Rather, the juvenile is connected with programs that can help him or her get back to school, get a job, or receive vocational training. In the case you are reviewing, you suspect that there are real questions as to whether the juvenile actually committed the burglary he is accused of. There is no evidence to link the juvenile with the crime, and he and his court-appointed attorney have claimed innocence. They then changed their plea and agreed to the restorative justice program, perhaps because if it is completed successfully, the juvenile will have no criminal record. Should you care whether the juvenile is innocent or not, given that the program is restorative, not punitive?

As the director of a restorative justice program in your community, you should NOT care if the juvenile is innocent or not given that the program is restorative, not punitive.

Even though there may be no evidence and the juvenile and his lawyer maintain his innocence, the program is put in place to help juveniles with obtaining job training, educational skills, and other programs that can enrich the youths life in major ways.

Explain to Cheri the importance of attending the scheduled interview. Describe a way Cheri could overcome the current obstacles.
Svetach [21]

Hello. This question is incomplete. The full question is:

"Cheri is a single parent and works very hard to balance her classwork, current job requirements, children's needs, and household chores. Cheri is exhausted. Cheri is also beginning to interview for jobs in her new career. Cheri has an interview scheduled. On the interview day, one of Cheri's children gets sick and her car breaks down. Cheri feels like giving-up.

Explain to Cheri the importance of attending the scheduled interview. Describe a way Cheri could overcome the current obstacles. Share a “back-up plan” that you have created in the event you encounter a situation similar to Cheri’s predicament. "

Answer:

Cheri should do the interview as this can provide her with a better job that will increase the quality of life for her and her children.

Although her son is sick and her car is broken, a scheduled interview can be conducted over the phone, or video call, she should see if these options are available, otherwise it would be important for her to find someone reliable to care for her son while she was out and used public transport to get to the interview site.

If I were in a situation similar to Cheri's, my Backup plan would be to leave my son with my mother, or someone I trust and know all the times of public transport, so that I wouldn't be late, in case I couldn't use my car.

Scheduled interviews are interviews conducted in real time between a job seeker and the interviewers. This type of interview can be conducted in person, with the candidate going to the place where the interviewers are. However, there has been an increasing number of scheduled interviews over the phone or video call, which is a great option.

Wordly wise question why would many in thailand be unaccustomed to city life
iren [92.7K]

I believe the answer is: Because Thailand is mostly made up of mountainous terrain and many forests

Because of this, the majority of citizens' activity is designed to fully take advantage of these geological terrains. Rather than city-life, it is much more common to seek things such as agricultural farmings, mountain sports, and animal attraction in thailand.
