Mathematics

Answer:

As far as I can tell, the answer's the second one! (-2+)!

Step-by-step explanation:

(+3+3) AKA 3+3=6. Not -2

(-2+) AKA -2. Is -2!

(-2+ ) AKA -2+?. Could answer -2 but the space after the positive sign concerned me enough to cross it as not -2...

-3 +15 AKA -3+15=12. Not -2.

-2 +15 AKA -2+15=13. Not -2.

-2 - 15 - 2 AKA -2-15-2=13. Not -2.

There's my answer but since it has weird options with how each is given, I could be wrong? Not 100% sure but it's worth the try! Please mark me brainliest if I'm correct!

What is the perimeter of triangle PQR? Show your work.
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

The perimeter of triangle PQR is 17 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the triangles PQR and STU

1. PQ ≅ ST = 4 ft (Given)

2. ∠PQR ≅ ∠STU  (Given)

3. QR ≅ TU = 6 ft (Given)

Therefore, the two triangles are congruent by SAS postulate.

Now, from CPCTE, PR = SU. Therefore,

3y-2=y+4\\3y-y=4+2\\2y=6\\y=\frac{6}{2}=3

Now, side PR is given by plugging in 3 for 'y'.

PR = 3(3) - 2 = 9 - 2 = 7 ft

Now, perimeter of a triangle PQR is the sum of all of its sides.

Therefore, Perimeter = PQ + QR + PR

                                   = (4 + 6 + 7) ft

                                   = 17 ft

Hence, the perimeter of triangle PQR is 17 ft.

This year consumers purchased 7,234,267,990 bottles of water. Last year consumers purchased 2,000,900,999 bottles of water. Whic
torisob [31]

Answer:

B. 9,000,000,000

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given information:

We are to determine the best estimate of the number of bottles sold this year and last year.

The best estimate means rounding up to the nearest whole number.

Given that:

7,234,267,990 bottles of water were purchased this year

2,000,900,999  bottles of water were purchased last year

The estimate of the bottles sold this year and last year from the above value is:

= 7,000,000,000 + 2,000,000,000

= 9,000,000,000

When the polynomial 4x^4 − 13x^2 − 2x is divided by the polynomial x − 2 , x-2, what is the remainder?
zhenek [66]
Let p (x) = 4x^4-13x^2-2x
The zero of x-2 is 2
putting x = 2 in p (x), we get,
p (2) = 4×2^4-13×2^2-2×2
= 64 - 52 - 4
= 64 - 56
= 8
Therefore, remainder = 8

What is the square of 8 step by step
Marysya12 [62]

Step-by-step explanation:

Here is a helpful method I taught my students in my mini lesson...

For you to remember, 22= 4, and 32= 9. Hence the answer to the root of 8 lies between the numbers 2 and 3. However, since the square of 3 equals to 9 which is larger than 8, the root 8 value lies in between the number 2.8 and 2.9.
