Well if FG is 4x and GH is 2x the you add them to get 6x for FH. Solve for x so 6x=18 which means x=3. Hope this helps

we know that

FH=FG+GH

In this problem we have

FH=18\ units\\FG=4x\\GH=2x

substitute in the formula above

18=4x+2x

solve for x

6x=18

x=18/6

x=3\ units

therefore

the answer is

The value of x is 3\ units

A bottle contains 20 blue bags and 15 red bags. If two bags are picked at random one after the other with replacement, what is t
babymother [125]

Answer:

12÷49

Step-by-step explanation:

The total number of bags in the bottle = 20 + 15 = 35

Then

the probability that the first bag is blue = 20/35

If we replace the first bag :

the probability that the second (picked) bag is blue = 15/35

Conclusion:

If two bags are picked at random one after the other with replacement

Then

the probability that the first bag is blue and then red is :

(20÷35)×(15÷35)

= (4÷7)×(3÷7)

= 12÷49

= 0.244897959184
