This a triangle worth committing to memory The angles are 90-60-30 and the sides are in the ratio 2:sqrt3 : 1   where  1 is the shortest side opposite the 30 degree angle,

So  v : 16 = 1 : 2  giving v = 8

and  u : v = u : 8 =  sqrt3 : 1   giving u = 8 sqrt 3
