Answer:

Food Security is the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.

1. Physiological changes that occurs with aging; The cardiac output decreases, blood pressure increases and arteriosclerosis develops. The lungs show impaired gas exchange, a decrease in vital capacity and slower expiratory flow rates.

2. Micro-nutrient status may fluctuate and shortfalls in vitamin D, iron and a number of other nutrients. Important risk nutrients include protein; omega-3 fatty acids; dietary fiber; vitamins B6, B12, and E; calcium; magnesium; and potassium. Many older adults are not getting enough of these nutrients. On the other hand, too many older adults are getting too much folate and sodium.

3.

  • Calcium and Vitamin D. Older adults need more calcium and vitamin D to help maintain bone health.
  • Vitamin B12. Many people older than 50 do not get enough vitamin B12.
  • Fiber. Eat more fiber-rich foods to stay regular.
  • Potassium.
  • Know Your Fats.

What can you eat that is healthy
babymother [125]
Good question!

Healthy foods are key for having a healthy body. If you feed your body properly now, you will have a much lower risk of health issues down the road. Like I like to say, I don't want to be taking medicines when I'm old, for something I could've prevented when I was young.

But let's get to the question!
Things that are healthy for you are:
1. Fruits & Berries - Some of the better tasting healthy foods, these fruits are easy to eat and you can make smoothies with them and sneak some bitter greens in. (You won't even taste them.)
2. Eggs!
3. Chicken Breast - chicken is good for leading a healthy lifestyle. Low in fat and calories but high in protein. (Just grill or bake them, don't fry.)
4. Nuts and Seeds
5 Vegetables - Vegetables are packed with nutrients your body needs to stay healthy. Things like carrots, celery and kale are good in smoothies with fruits, because  the fruit will mask the taste if you don't like them. These aren't optional to a healthy diet.
6. Seafood - seafood is great for you. They are especially rich in in omega-3 fatty acids and iodine, two nutrients that most people don’t get enough of.

Foods like these are not optional to a healthy diet. You can not eat them, but you will have more pimples, be more tired, weak, and pasty. Having these nutrients gives your body a healthy glow.

The main theme of these foods is to eat as close to nature as you can. The more processed and GM the food is, the worse it is for you.

PLEASE ANSWER!!!<br> How does the food change in the stomach?
san4es73 [151]

The food reaches the stomach via the esophagus where it undergoes churning; here various digestive juices secreted by the stomach lining mix with the food rendering it to a semi solid mass of soup like consistency known as 'chyme'. The stomach digests nutrients like salt and sugar while other complex food products are digested in the small intestine where the food passes from the stomach.

In the small intestine the food mixes with vital enzymes secreted by the liver and the pancreas; fats and proteins are mainly digested in the small intestine. The inner lining of the small intestine is covered by projections called as villi that absorb the digested nutrients from the food and convey it to the blood stream.
