Amphotericin is a type of drug used to treat problems like fatal fungal infection. It stops the growth of fungi. Fungi is the multicellular organism that are heterotrophic in nature which means they feed on other organism. There are some fungi which are edible but some are very harmful to the human beings.

The amphotericin-b is injected into body through the veins. It is given slowly through the intravenous infusion depending on the severity of the infection the amphotericin-B can be given upto many weeks or months.

The common side effect of the drug may include: vomiting, stomach ache, nausea, headache, joint pain, diarrhea and weight loss.
