Baking soda mixed with vinegar produces carbon dioxide and water. The best way to prove that no mass was lost during this reacti
lord [1]

Given what we know, we can confirm that the best way to prove that no mass was lost during the reaction would be to follow option C and determine the masses of all substances before and after the reaction.

Why is this the best method?

This method provides two sets of data in order to draw a comparison. The other option will either not produce comparable data, or do not take into account all of the elements being produced.

Therefore, by comparing the mass of baking soda and vinegar before the reaction to the mass of carbon dioxide and water after the reaction, we can analyze the differences if any, and confirm that no mass was lost during the reaction.

A bond type with a difference in electro negativity of less than 0.4 would be classified as ...?
valina [46]

Answer:

Non polar covalent bond.

Explanation:

The covalent bond is polar when the electronegativity difference of bonded atom is greater than 0.4. If the electronegativity difference is 0.4 or less than this the bond will be non polar.

Covalent bond:

It is formed by the sharing of electron pair between bonded atoms.

The atom with larger electronegativity attract the electron pair more towards it self and becomes partial negative while the other atom becomes partial positive.

For example:

In water the electronegativity of oxygen is 3.44 and hydrogen is 2.2. That's why electron pair attracted more towards oxygen, thus oxygen becomes partial negative and hydrogen becomes partial positive and the bond is polar.

In case of F₂ the electronegativity difference is zero that's why the bond is non polar covalent bond.

Aqueous aluminum bromide and solid zinc are formed by the reaction of aqueous zinc bromide and solid aluminum . write a balanced
MakcuM [25]
Aluminum Bromide is AlBr₃. This may be a simple single-replacement reaction if you can replace Al to Zn. However, you need a guide for this: the relative reactivity of metals. Usually it is a vertical list of metals. The metals at the top will displace the bottom ones. Al is above Zn. So, Zn cannot replace Al. So, there is no reaction.

AlBr₃ + Zn → n.r (no reaction)
