An amusement park ride consists of a rotating circular platform 8.03 m in diameter from which 10 kg seats are suspended at the e

nd of 3.76 m massless chains. When the system rotates, the chains make an angle of 28.6 ◦ with the vertical. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s 2 .
1. What is the speed of each seat?
2. If a child of mass 26.2 kg sits in a seat, what is the tension in the chain (for the same angle)?

Answer:

a) 5.57 m/s

b) 403 N

Explanation:

We will find the radius, r of the motion using the formula

r = radius of the platform + horizontal swing distance

r = diameter/2 + Lsinθ, where L is the length of the massless chain and θ is the displaced angle

r = 8.03/2 + 3.76 sin28.6

r = 4.015 + 1.8

r = 5.82 m

a) To get the speed, we use the formula

tanθ = v2/rg, if we make v subject of formula, we have

v = √(rgtanθ), where

v = speed of the seats

g = 9.8m/s²

v = √(5.82 * 9.8 * tan28.6)

v = √(5.82 * 9.8 * 0.545)

v = √31.08

v = 5.57 m/s

b) To find the tension, we use the formula

Tcosθ = mg, making T subject of formula, we have

T = mg/cosθ, where T = tension in the chain and m = 10 kg + 26.2 kg = 36.2 kg and θ = 28.6°

T = 36.2 * 9.8 / cos 28.6

T = 354.76 / 0.88

T = 403 N

Q1. I don't have information on her situation, but an EMR is a medical record that is stored digitally in a secure computer database within an organization or healthcare system. This system allows electronic storage, retrieval, and modification of medical records, and is an alternative to traditional, paper medical records.

Q2. Their food proportions, do they eat every meal, do they eat their vegetables, fruits grains, protein, etc. Check for healthy and unhealthy habits of eating and exercise.  Additional notes on medical problems relating to food concerns you may have to look further into based on her answers.

Q3. The info isn't provided,  but what I do know is that detection requires awareness of risk factors for, and symptoms and signs of, anorexia nervosa (e.g., participation in activities valuing thinness, family history of an eating disorder, amenorrhea, lanugo hair) and bulimia nervosa (e.g., unsuccessful attempts at weight loss, history of childhood sexual abuse, family history of depression, erosion of tooth enamel from vomiting, parotid gland swelling, and gastroesophageal reflux). Providers must also remain alert for disordered eating in female athletes (the female athlete triad) and disordered eating in diabetics. Treatment requires a multidisciplinary team including a primary care practitioner, nutritionist, and mental health professional. The role of the primary care practitioner is to help determine the need for hospitalization and to manage medical complications (e.g., arrhythmias, refeeding syndrome, osteoporosis, and electrolyte abnormalities such as hypokalemia).

I'm sorry I cannot answer all your questions because there's a typing limit. :)

Thank you for your patience, and I hope I helped!

Help with speed problems #1-3
-Dominant- [34]
1. Each plot represents the meters traveled by both the Hare and the Tortoise over a certain period of time (minutes).

2. The Tortoise lines show it lines is steadily increasing over a period of time. So as more time elapses the faster the tortoise becomes it travels more meters. The Tortoise line shows steady acceleration.

3. The Hare in the first 5 minutes had a rapid fast advancement up to 40 meters. But for the 5-20 mins. period the Hare did not move at all. Its speed stayed at the same place. But towards the end 20-25 mins. marks the Hare started moving again. At the end the Hare at first had a rapid acceleration but stopped for a long time then it sped up briefly.
