Answer:

$1200

Step-by-step explanation:

180 divided by 9 is 20, so they earned $20 per car washed. They want to wash 60 cars, and if they wash 60 cars they would earn $1200. (60 x 20)

Answer:

$1200

Step-by-step explanation:

Our revenue is directly proportional to the number of cars. That means our revenue is increasing at a constant rate, and thus, we are getting the same amount of money per car. That means we can find out how much we get from washing 1 car.

\frac{180}{9} = 20

$20 per car.

If we washed 60 cars, we'd earn 60 * $20:

60*20 = 1200

Answer: $1200

Which is the best estimate for the area of the figure above?
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

So I'd say 20in^2 or 22in^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

I decided to make it into a full pentagon shape to just estimate.

So a pentagons sides are all equal so I counted the amount in boxes on the sides of the regular shape and most of them would be 3.5 if you changed the shape into a pentagon.

And I got:

--> 21.076

Hi there, hope everyone is well and staying cool :D
gogolik [260]

Answer:

A) By using the Pythagorean Theorem, we will see that 8^2 + 15^2 = 17^2. If we simplify it, we will find that the hypotenuse of ΔABC = 17

B) approximately 18.79

Step-by-step explanation:

A) In all honesty, you don't really need to look at ΔACD at all for this one. Just use the Pythagorean Theorem (like previously stated) and solve!

***Pythagorean Theorem is  leg^2 + leg^2 = hypotenuse^2

B) Here, you can also use the Pythagorean Theorem! However this time, the equation will be, 8^2 + 17^2 = AD.

  • 8^2 + 17^2 = 64 +289
  • 64 + 289 = 385
  • \sqrt{385} \\ ≈ 18.79

Hope you do well on the rest of your math problems :D

Pleaseeeee help me. i really need it.
deff fn [24]

comparing the relation given

thus y= -2x +1 to the general equation of a line

where y= mx + c

where m is the gradient and c is the intercept on the y-axis.

from the question, the gradient is -2 and since the line is perpendicular, the gradient is given as

\frac{ - 1}{m}

so substituting the value of m in to the equation

\frac{ - 1}{ - 2}

=

\frac{1}{2}

as the gradient

equation of line is given by

y - y1 = m( x-x1)

from the question y1= -2 and x1=1

substitute them

y-(-2) = 1/2 (x -1)

y+2 =1/2 (x-1)

multiplying through by 2

2 (y+2) = x-1

2y +4 = x-1

2y =x-1-4

2y =x-5

x -2y -5 = 0

therefore the equation for the line is x-2y -5=0
