Heights for women are bell-shaped with a mean of 65 inches and standard deviation of 2.5 inches. If a random sample of 16 women

is taken, what is the mean and standard deviation of the sampling distribution of ? μ= 65 inches; σ= 0.625 inch μ= 65 inches; σ= 2.5 inches μ= 65 inches; σ= 0.156 inch μ= it depends on the value of the sample mean ; σ= it depends on the value of the sample standard deviation

Answer:

μ= 65 inches; σ= 0.625 inch

Step-by-step explanation:

The Central Limit Theorem estabilishes that, for a normally distributed(bell-shaped) random variable X, with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the sampling distribution of the sample means with size n can be approximated to a normal distribution with mean \mu and standard deviation s = \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}.

For a skewed variable, the Central Limit Theorem can also be applied, as long as n is at least 30.

In this problem, we have that:

\mu = 65, \sigma = 2.5

By the central limit theorem, the sample of 16 will have:

\mu = 65, \sigma = \frac{2.5}{\sqrt{16}} = 0.625

So the correct answer is:

μ= 65 inches; σ= 0.625 inch

Find the product of 503×6 explain how found
8090 [49]
The product of 503 × 6 is 3,009
You get this because when you line up the numbers with the 6 under the 3
First, you multiply 6 × 3 which is 9
Next, multiply 6 × 0 and that is 0
And finally you multiply 6 × 5 which is 30

The Frostburg-Truth bus travels on a straight road from Frostburg Mall to Sojourner Truth Park. The mall is 3 miles west and 4 m
Advocard [28]
The park is a total of 3+3 = 6 miles east of the mall, and 4+5=9 miles north of it. The Pythagorean theorem tells you the straight-line distance in miles is
  √(6² +9²) = √117 ≈ 10.8

HELP?! PLEASE!! SUPER DESPERATE!! How many gallons of a 60% antifreeze solution must be mixed with a 60 gallons of 15% antifreez
Ket [755]

bellamore

Middle SchoolMathematics 5+3 pts

x (.60) + 60 (.15) = (x+60) .50

distribute

.60x +9 = .5x +30

subtract  .5x from each side

.1x +9 = 30

subtract 9 from each side

.1x = 21

 divide by .1

x = 210

You will need 210 gallons of 60% antifreeze

What's the domain and range for (×+4)-1
Sonja [21]
\bf a^{-{ n}} \implies \cfrac{1}{a^{ n}}\qquad \qquad

\cfrac{1}{a^{ n}}\implies a^{-{ n}}\\
---------------\\
thus\\
(x+4)^{-1}\implies \cfrac{1}{x+4}
\\\\

\bf if\qquad \cfrac{1}{0} \implies undefined

so.. what value of "x" makes x+4 to 0?

the domain will be, all real numbers, except that value

about the range, "y" will take, whateve "x" can provide.. in this case... I think is all real numbers, except 0, because, if you give a few big values to "x", the fraction will simply have a bigger and bigger denominator, making the fraction smaller and smaller, ever approaching 0, but never getting there
