A disk rotates about its central axis starting from rest and accelerates with constant angular acceleration. At one time it is r

otating at 10.0 rev/s. After 60 more complete revolutions, its angular speed is 15.035 rev/s.. Calculate the angular acceleration

Answer:

1.05 rev/ (s)2

Explanation:

Here the disc is travelling from constant angular acceleration there for we can use motion equation for angular acceleration

(V)2 = (U)2 + 2aS

V - final angular velocity

U - initial angular velocity

S - revolution

a - angular acceleration

(15.035)2 = (10)2 + 2* a * 60

a = 1.05 rev /(s)2

Convert 3.5revolutions to radians.
olga55 [171]

As we know that

1 revolution = 2\pi radian

now we know that

3.5 revolution = 3.5 rev\times \frac{2\pi rad}{1 rev}

3.5 rev = 21.98 rad

so it is 21.98 radian
