What is the rule for the reflection?

Mathematics

The figure is being reflected over the x axis (horizontal axis). Any y coordinate that is negative becomes positive, and vice versa. The x coordinate stays the same.

If we have some point (x,y) as the original point, then it would turn into (x,-y). Note how the y coordinate has a negative on it now.

So we can say (x,y) \rightarrow (x,-y) which is what choice C is saying.

Choice C is the answer

Choice D is NOT the answer because the words "y axis" under the 'r' should be "x axis" instead.

A perfect score on a test with 25 questions is 100. Each question is worth 4 points. Fred got a score of 84 on the test write a
ICE Princess25 [194]
Given:
perfect score- 100
number of questions of the test- 25
worth of each question- 4 points
Fred's score- 84
n- number of questions Fred had answered incorrectly.

solution:
solve for n
division sentence: (100 ÷ 4 ) - ( 84 ÷ 4 ) = n

(100 ÷ 4 ) - ( 84 ÷ 4 ) = n
25 - 21 = n
4= n

therefore, Fred had answered 4 test questions incorrectly.

Equation 1: 8x+2y=308x+2y=30
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

Part a) We should try to eliminate the y's because the coefficients are the same

Part b) The solution is the point (6,-9)

Step-by-step explanation:

Part a) Which variable pair should we try to eliminate?

we have

8x+2y=30 ----> equation 1

7x+2y=24 ----> equation 2

Solve by elimination

We should try to eliminate the y's because the coefficients are the same

Part b) What is the solution to the system?

Multiply equation 2 by -1 both sides

-1(7x+2y)=-1(24)

-7x-2y=-24 -----> equation 3

Adds equation 1 and equation 3

8x+2y=30\\-7x-2y=-24\\-------\\8x-7x=30-24\\x=6

Find the value of y

8x+2y=30[/tex[tex]8(6)+2y=30

2y=30-48

y=-9

The solution is the point (6,-9)

What is an equation in point-slope form of the line that
-Dominant- [34]

Step-by-step explanation:

To find an equation of a line in point slope form when given the slope and a point we use the formula

y - y_1 = m(x - x_1)

where

m is the slope

( x1 , y1) is the point

From the question the point is (-3, -1) and slope 2

The equation is

y + 1 = 2(x + 3)

Hope this helps you
