<u><em>D. is the correct answer.</em></u>

Slope intercept form: y=mx+b

m: represents the slope and is constant.

b: represents the y-intercept.

Given the following equation, locate the slope and y-intercept of the line.

For example: y=-\frac{1}{2}x-8

The slope: m= -\frac{1}{2}

The y-intercept: b= -8

Point slope form: → slope=\frac{y^2-y^1}{x^2-x^1}

m=\frac{y^2-y^1}{x^2-x^1}

Used: rise/run

m=\frac{rise}{run}

Given:

(y^1)=m(x^1)

y-3=\frac{2}{3}(x-5)

Then you add by the variable on y-3.

\boxed{y+3=2/3(x-5)}

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

Have a great day!

Determine if the sequence below is arithmetic or geometric and determine the common difference/ratio in simplest form.
MrRa [10]

Answer:

geometric sequence; common ratio: 2

Step-by-step explanation:

because you would have to multiply a number to get to the next and the next number in line, this is geometric. The common ratio is 2 because each time the number increases you multiplying by two

What unit would be best to use for measuring the weight of a stapler
Alenkinab [10]
GRAMS! Is the best answer :) all others are used for heavier objects and such, however GRAMS is just right for a light object as in a stapler

matt and brian were solving a system of equations. they both noticed that the two lines had the same slope. brian said that beca
Vesna [10]

Answer:

Matt is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

If two lines are parallel, then their slopes are the same

In this problem we can have two cases

case 1) The two equations are equal, in this case the system has infinite solutions

case 2) The two equations have the same slope but different y-intercept, in that case the system has no solution.

therefore

Matt is correct
