Answer: Assure the client that this is a normal reaction.

Explanation:

A skin test should be done with utmost care. It requires knowledge, skill and expertise. In the intradermal method of skin test the antigen or any test fluid is injected into the dermis by using a hypodermic needle or syringe. The client may show anxiety and panic attacks as the skin may show swelling or other physical features.

The client should be assured that this is not going to harm the client in anyway and the procedure will not exert a long term effect on the body. This is a normal test.
