The correct answer is: B) He described the results of genetic crosses.

Mendel discovered the fundamental laws of inheritance:

• The Law of Segregation says that genes come in pairs and are inherited as distinct units, one from each parent

• The Law of Independent Assortment genes for different traits are sorted separately (the inheritance of one trait is independent of another).

• The Law od Dominance- expression of the allele form that is dominant.

The correct answer is option (B) He described the results of genetic crosses.

Gregor Mendel discovered the fundamental laws of inheritance through his work on pea plants. He studied the inheritance pattern using seven different traits of pea plants like the height, flower color, seed color, seed shape, flower position, pod shape and pod color by crossing numerous plants with contrasting characters, described the results of the genetic crosses and introduced the laws of inheritance.

The term gene was coined by William Johannsen in 1909 to describe the fundamental physical and functional units of heredity. Reginald Punnett and William Bateson devised the Punnett square to depict the number and variety of the genetic combinantions. The term “allele” was coined by William Bateson and Edith Rebecca.

Is an organic compound that aids enzyme function by combining with an inactive enzyme to form a catalytically active form?
wolverine [178]
The compound described above is Coenzyme.
Coenzymes are small molecules which can not catalyze a reaction by themselves, however the help enzymes to catalyze reactions. Many coenzymes are derived from vitamins. Certain enzymes need coenzymes to bind to the substrate for the reaction to take place.

SashulF [63]
The mining of oil shale requires LARGE AMOUNT OF WATER.
The processing of oil shale require large amount of water which is needed for the processing activities of oil shale. This is a big challenge to the mining of oil shale because most of oil shale deposits are found in semi arid regions where water is scarce.<span />
