3/2x-7=-11

We move all terms to the left:

3/2x-7-(-11)=0

Domain of the equation: 2x!=0

x!=0/2

x!=0

x∈R

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

3/2x+4=0

We multiply all the terms by the denominator

4*2x+3=0

Wy multiply elements

8x+3=0

We move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right

8x=-3

x=-3/8

x=-3/8

How to find the point that is equidistant from (5,-5) and (1,1)
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

(3, -2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The midpoint of two points is half-way between the x-values and the y-values.

The formula is

M = ((x₁ + x₂)/2, (y₁ + y₂)/2)

For the points (5,-5) and (1,1),

Half way between the x values is

(x₁ + x₂)/2 = (5 + 1) /2 = 6/2 = 3

Half way between the y values is

(y₁ + y₂)/2= (-5 + 1)/2 = -4/2 = -2

M = (3, -2)

The graph below shows your two points at (5,-5) and (1,1) and the mid-point at (3, -2).

Answer:

you literally just translate each shape by the number of squares specified.

Step-by-step explanation:

for example, move shape 1 5 squares to the right, then 4 down. it will be in the middle area of quadrant 1 (where it already is).

An object is thrown from a platform. Its height (in meters), x seconds after launch, is modeled by h (x) = -5 (x + 1) (x -9)
777dan777 [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

This is already factored for us, which is really nice, so now all we need to do is apply the Zero Product Property to the sets of parenthesis and solve for x, which will give us the 2 times that the object is on the ground.

x + 1 = 0 so

x = -1

x - 9 = 0 so

x = 9

We all know that time cannot ever be negative, so the time that the object is on the ground is 9 seconds after it's launched (which was from an initial height of 45 meters).
