Let one rectangle A has dimensions 12 cm by 8 cm

Area of the rectangle A = l *w

Area of the rectangle A = 12 * 8 = 96 sq.cm

If we shade 1/2 of area of rectangle A Then area of shaded region = 96/2 = 48 sq.cm

Let one rectangle B has dimensions 8 cm by 6 cm

Area of the rectangle A = l *w

Area of the rectangle A = 8 * 6 = 48 sq.cm

If we shade 1/2 of area of rectangle A Then area of shaded region = 48/2 = 24 sq.cm

So if the dimensions of two rectangles are different then the half of each rectangle will be different.

lianna [129]

Answer:

x = 200

Step-by-step explanation:

1/5x – 2/3y = 30

substitute in y

1/5x - 2/3(15) = 30

multiply

1/5x - 10 = 30

isolate the variable

1/5x = 40

multiply each side by 5

x = 200

98 Points! MATH SOLVING SYSTEMS OF LINEAR EQUATIONS
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

40 Tickets

80 Tickets

Step-by-step explanation:

To find how many tickets it will take to break even, we use the formula:

Break Even In Units = \dfrac{FixedCost}{SalesPricePerUnit-VariableCost}

Our variables are:

Fixed Cost = $200

Sales Price = $10

Variable Cost = $5

Let's plug in our values into the formula.

Break Even In Units = \dfrac{200}{10-5}

Break Even In Units = \dfrac{200}{5}

Break Even In Units = 40

So the class needs to sell a total of 40 Tickets to break even.

Since we know that it takes 40 tickets to break even a $200 Fixed cost. To make a profit of $200, we simply multiply the number of tickets sold by 2.

Number of tickets for $200 profit = 40 x 2

Number of tickets for $200 profit = 80 Tickets.

So the class needs to sell 80 Tickets to make a $200 Profit.
