Facts about conolizing into mars?
Stolb23 [73]

Mars is the focus of much scientific study about possible human colonization. Its surface conditions and the presence of water on Mars make it arguably the most hospitable of the planets in the Solar System, other than Earth. Mars requires less energy per unit mass (delta-v) to reach from Earth than any planet except Venus.

Permanent human habitation on a planetary body other than the Earth is one of science fiction's most prevalent themes. As technology has advanced, and concerns about the future of humanity on Earth have increased, the argument that space colonization is an achievable and worthwhile goal has gained momentum. Other reasons for colonizing space include economic interests, long-term scientific research best carried out by humans as opposed to robotic probes, and sheer curiosity.

One of Elon Musk's stated goals through his company SpaceX is to make such colonization possible by providing transport, and to "help humanity establish a permanent, self-sustaining colony on Mars within the next 50 to 100 years".

Many organizations support the colonization of Mars. They have also given different reasons and ways humans can live on Mars. One of the oldest organizations is the Mars Society. They promote a NASA program that supports human colonies on Mars. The Mars Society have set up Mars analog research stations in Canada and the United States. All other organizations include MarsDrive, who wants to help fund settlements on Mars, and Mars to Stay. Mars to Stay advocates settlements on Mars. In June 2012, Mars One released a statement that they believe could help start a colony on Mars by 2023.

Starting from rest, a car travels 18 meters as it accelerates uniformly for 3.0 seconds. What is the magnitude of
omeli [17]

Answer:

a=4\frac{m}{s^2}

Explanation:

Hello.

In this case, for this uniformly accelerated motion in which the car starts from rest at 0 m/s and travels 18 m in 3.0 s, we can compute the acceleration by using the following equation:

x_f=x_0+v_0t+\frac{1}{2}at^2

Whereas the final distance is 18 m, the initial distance is 0 m, the initial velocity is 0 m/s and the time is 3.0 s, that is why the acceleration turns out:

a=\frac{2(x_f-v_ot)}{t^2} =\frac{2(18m-0m/s*3.0s)}{(3.0s)^2}\\ \\a=4\frac{m}{s^2}

Best regards.

A 300 g bird is flying along at 6.0 m/s and sees a 10 g insect heading straight towards it with a speed of 30 m/s. The bird open
Gelneren [198K]

Answer:

(a): The bird speed after swallowing the insect is V= 4.83 m/s

(b): The impulse on the bird is I= 0.3 kg m/s

(c): The force between the bird and the insect is F= 20 N

Explanation:

ma= 0.3 kg

va= 6 m/s

mb= 0.01kg

vb= 30 m/s

(ma*va - mb*vb) / (ma+mb) = V

V= 4.83 m/s (a)

I= mb * vb

I= 0.3 kg m/s  (b)

F*t= I

F= I/t

F= 20 N (c)

Read through the and calculate the predicted change in kinetic energy of the oblect compared to 50 kg ball traveling at 10 m/s .
Sliva [168]

Answer:

A 50 kg ball traveling at 20 m/s would have 4 times more kinetic energy.

A 50 kg ball traveling at 5 m/s would have 4 times less kinetic energy.

A 50 kg person falling at 10 m/s would have the same kinetic energy.

You have an electrically neutral toy that you divide into two pieces. You notice that at least one of those pieces has an electr
musickatia [10]

Answer:

Attract

Explanation:

According to the properties of charge, the bodies having unlike charges attract each other and the bodies having like charges repel each other.

As the toy is initially electrically neutral, so as it is divided into two pieces, then according to the conservation of charge, the one piece having positive charge and the other piece having negative charge. As they are unlike charges so they attract each other.
