Answer:

3.53 second

Explanation:

The formula for the height is

h=-16t^{2}+55t+5

When it hits the ground, the height is zero.

So, put h = 0 in the above equation

0=-16t^{2}+55t+5

16t^{2}-55t-5=0

t=\frac{+55\pm \sqrt{55^{2}+4\times 5\times 16}}{2\times 16}

t=\frac{+55\pm 57.84}{2\times 16}

Take positive sign

t = 3.53 second.

Thus, the time taken to hit the ground is 3.53 second.

DedPeter [7]

Answer:

Speed in kilometer/hour = 6 kilometer / hour

Explanation:

Given;

Time taken to cover distance = 15 minute = 15 /60 = 0.25 hour

Distance of school = 1.5 kilometer

Find:

Speed in kilometer/hour

Computation:

Speed in kilometer/hour = Distance / Time

Speed in kilometer/hour = Distance of school / Time taken to cover distance

Speed in kilometer/hour = 1.5 / 0.25

Speed in kilometer/hour = 6 kilometer / hour

A 18.5-cm-diameter loop of wire is initially oriented perpendicular to a 1.3-T magnetic field. The loop is rotated so that its p
MrRa [10]

Answer:

0.2v

Explanation:

Data given,

Diameter=18.5cm

Hence we can calculate the radius as D/2=18.5/2=9.25cm

radius=9.25cm/100=0.0925m

The area is calculated as

area=\pi r^{2}\\Area=0.0925^{2}*\pi \\Area=0.02688m^{2}\\

magnetic field, B=1.3T

time,t=0.18s

The flux is expressed as

flux=BAcos\alpha \\

since the loop is parallel, the angle is 0

Hence we can calculate the flux as

flux=1.3*0.02688cos(0)\\flux=0.0349Wb\\

to determine the emf induced in the loop, we use Faraday law

E=-N\frac{d(flux)}{dt}\\ E=-0.0349/0.18\\E=0.19V\\E=-0.2v

Note the voltage is not negative but the negative sign shows the current flows in other to oppose the flux

Answer:

A rabbit which needs food specifically food from plants because they are vegetarians, to help them grow. The energy that the plant holds is given to the rabbit when eaten. The plant feeds the bunny its nutrients which tells the muscles to keep going and get stronger and tells the rest of the body to grow.

Explain how the formation of atoms affects the mass of a substance provide specific examples in your explanation.
Umnica [9.8K]

Answer:

ummm not good so I got this from my teachers textbook

Explanation:

Most of the Universe consists of matter and energy. Energy is the capacity to do work. Matter has mass and occupies space. All matter is composed of basic elements that cannot be broken down to substances with different chemical or physical properties. Elements are substances consisting of one type of atom, for example Carbon atoms make up diamond, and also graphite. Pure (24K) gold is composed of only one type of atom, gold atoms. Atoms are the smallest particle into which an element can be divided. The ancient Greek philosophers developed the concept of the atom, although they considered it the fundamental particle that could not be broken down. Since the work of Enrico Fermi and his colleagues, we now know that the atom is divisible, often releasing tremendous energies as in nuclear explosions or (in a controlled fashion in) thermonuclear power plants.The atomic number is the number of protons an atom has. It is characteristic and unique for each element. The atomic mass (also referred to as the atomic weight) is the number of protons and neutrons in an atom. Atoms of an element that have differing numbers of neutrons (but a constant atomic number) are termed isotopes. Isotopes, shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2, can be used to determine the diet of ancient peoples by determining proportions of isotopes in mummified or fossilized human tissues. Biochemical pathways can be deciphered by using isotopic tracers. The age of fossils and artifacts can be determined by using radioactive isotopes, either directly on the fossil (if it is young enough) or on the rocks that surround the fossil (for older fossils like dinosaurs). Isotopes are also the source of radiation used in medical diagnostic and treatment procedures.
